The Gong Show was a success, not quite as busy as the first one, but still very good. The judges were a little gong happy as only 4 or 5 acts did NOT get gonged. But overall there were some very good acts (a few that were Gonged were very good, just to long) We've instituted a new way of picking winners; the top two are picked by the judges and

I was there saturday too! holy shit it was hot and packed... and I hated the traffic. @_@

Not weird at all: on average, attendance grows during the run of the festival, so the last few weekends are going to be much busier. Add to that the fact that the previous weekend was quite cold and rainy so attendance was very low for the third-to-last weekend. So many of the people who stayed away from the rain came out in addition to all those who had been planning for this last weekend all along, especially since the weather was so nice by most people's standards.

I've worked there a long time, it's a pretty typical pattern.

If you're not vegetarian, you must try the shish-ka-bob next time you go out there... chicken or steak with peppers and onions, and they brush a garlic sauce on it. Super yummy.
