Although I still think the judges don't like Nick just because he's an obnoxious drunk (and you know I love you, baby), congrats to those who made the team. Bobby kicked much ass, and everyone else did very well in a ridiculously close slam. Well done.

I can tell you that my scores on Nick's poems didn't have anything to do with him being any kind of drunk at all. I like Nick a lot.

I have an email...that's about it at the moment. He's staying at his parents' house for a little bit and then he's off to Maui to work for the Air Force over the summer at the observatory they have out there (poor baby - sarcasm). He's hoping to be back in the fall, but it's still up in the air - officially he's going to get his PhD at Buffalo, but he wants to come back to Boston and then eventually get in at MIT to do his PhD there. We'll see....

I remember him asking me about Hawaii and what I knew of the poetry scene. IF you'd ask him if it's ok if I get his email, I'd be grateful. You can back-channel it to theryk at yahoo.

I'll check with him (I'm sure it's fine). He's thinking he's going to go crazy if he can "only go once a month" for poetry. That's dedication (or insanity, I'm not sure which). :)
