Music or writing?

It's weird, I find myself thinking about this a lot.

So far I've found a way to bridge the two worlds (which rarely seem to intersect) by doing the weekly DJ gig at the Cantab.  My poetry writing is sporadic at best, and I'm never really satisfied with it.  There are people who are completely immersed in their writing "scene" and I like to ( Read more... )

Just an FYI:

If you ever want to DJ yourself up to the mic without having someone else handle it (and to seem magical), you can make an intro track, fire it up when you start walking away, and have it fade out in the track in about ten seconds or so. Make sure the track has about ten minutes of silence so that it doesn't skip to the next track while you're still on the mic.

You won't have music walking off the stage, but you will have it going up.

That's a damn good idea that I haven't even considered.

it's an amazing show! :) i love the line "There is never a perfect time for anything."

yes.

and by the way, i went boarding this weekend and had an AMAZING time. probably the best snow i've ever seen. snowed enough through the day to keep powder, but not enough for white out conditions.... just pristine. plus, i performed much better than i anticipated, so cheers for an all-around good day!
