Tamaki was very excited. He was sitting in Kyoya's limo, driving to Tokyo because he had never been to Tokyo before, and very, very excited. They pulled out, and Tamaki stepped out of the car, his dog hopping out right beside him (he couldn't not come to Tokyo without bringing Antoinette), and lit up right away ( Read more... )

You know, it wasn't even the obvious bits of surrealism that got Logan - the fictional characters for whom he'd had action figures when he was six. (After all, he'd had an action figure of his dad when he was six.) It was people like this, who looked more or less normal, but were clearly an entire anthill, picnic basket, and checked red-and-white blanket short of a picnic.

"There were female pirates, too, y'know," he points out. "Anne Bonny and Mary...something. I think I remember reading that one of them hit on the other, so actually women could dream about a girl-on-girl pirate lifestyle if they were into that. And who wouldn't be."

He holds out his hand and makes kissy noises at the dog.

Tamaki turned, as though he was shocked at this sudden information. "Yes," he said after a pause. "But there weren't a whole lot of female pirates. And they... what do you mean, girl-on-girl pirate lifestyle?" If there was one thing to be said about Tamaki, it was that he didn't know all that much about lesbians. For the most part, they didn't exist in his world (not to say the world he came from didn't have lesbians. The world inside his head didn't really have lesbians.)

Antoinette all but charges at Logan and leaps at him, her tongue already hanging out and ready to attack his face.

Logan meets the charge with laughter and a bit of spluttering. He hunkers down and ruffles the retriever behind her ears. "Hey there, what's your name, sweetheart? Ackpht." He wipes away a bit of dog spit. "I don't normally object to tongue from a girl I've just met, but..."

He looks up at Tamaki. "Uh, what about that was unclear?"

As if to answer, Antoinette barks.

"I mean..." he frowned, trying hard to think of a way to word the question. "Why would the girls be on eachother?"

"Well," Uriel says calmly, "at least it's pretty clear which nationality is best represented here."

"Oh?" Tamaki asked. "What do you mean by that?" Was there a lot of French people there? Or maybe English people, since he was speaking English. He didn't seem to consider Japanese, considering the fact that he seemed to think he was in Tokyo Disneyland.

"Well, most of the people here seem Japanese," Uriel said. "And although you have an accent that is definitely not Japanese, your name does point to Japan. Also," he then added, "most seem to be around your age."

"Of course a lot of people here seem Japanese!" Tamaki exclaimed. "We're in Tokyo, aren't we?"

Cayce is starting to think that the Hachiko statue was either the most brilliant idea she's had in ages, or one of the worst on account of the confusion it seems to be engendering in this kid.

"Hey there. I'm Cayce Pollard. Um. Welcome to our alternate-dimension version of Disneyland."

Tamaki's in front of her in a second. He takes her hand in his, and kissess it, before he looks up at her. "What beautiful eyes," he says, looking straight into them. "I bet your heart is just as beautiful as your eyes."

Cayce's initial reaction can only be described as o_O

And then she bites her lip, trying not to giggle; the kid seems to really believe in his own powers of charm, and plus there's the hilarity of the fact that she's probably twice his age ... Eyes bright with amusement, she says, "Thanks. Um. That's a cute dog you have there."

Age doesn't really matter with Tamaki too much. Sure, he treats his older customers slightly different than he does the ones from school, but she doesn't seem that old, and she's certainly not from his school, so it was more of a mixture of both his techniques. A woman is never too old to be told she's beautiful.

Much more composed and serious than he was with either of the males before, he smiles. "Yes, her name is Antoinette. Come here girl," he called.

She had been barking at the Cheshire Cat again, but when he called she came bounding over. The only thing that stopped her from leaping on both Tamaki and Cayce was the manner of her master, so she sat obediently at his feet.

"Hi~!" Fay calls, smiling and waving Tamaki over. "Welcome to Disneyland! I'm Fay D. Flourite, but you should just call me Fay, Tamaki-kun. But before we get any further..." He holds a finger up and looks so very utterly serious. "Ninja are far better than samurai."

"Hello, Fay~" Tamaki says, grinning widely. At his claim that ninjas were better than Samurai, Tamaki got suddenly quite serious. So serious, in fact, it was almost comical. "Oh no!" He exclaimed, shaking his head. The samurai were much better. They had samurai like Oda Nobunaga and all sorts of others that are in all the dramas!"

"But Kuro-puu is a ninja," Fay points out reasonably, "and he's amazing." Which is all Fay needs for the argument.

"What are you king of, Suoh-ou?" Fay's past doesn't include brilliant encounters with kings (read= Ashura) but he doesn't think a bad experience with one monarch means they'll all be like that. After all, Sakura is a princess, and she and him are good friends.

"Who's Kuro-puu?" Tamaki asks, looking rather interested.

"I'm the king of the host club! And I'm the king of Ouran Private Academy." He wasn't actually the king of the school, but he and most of the girls and some of the guys even believed it, and he definitely was the king of the host club, even if all the other members would deny it and/or make fun of him for it.

"Well, isn't it fitting that a king is perfect on both the outside and inside." Hiruma's smile, pointy teeth and all, may show how serious he is about that. "And what are you the king of?"

"Of course it is! For, in order to be a king, I must be absolutely perfect for all of my subjects! It is God's blessing, and though it may not be easy, I manage! I am the king of the Host Club and of Ouran Private Academy!"

"Haven't been many perfect kings, really. And your subjects are the other students at the academy?" Some rich kid, obviously, who's either easily amused, full of himself, stupid, or actually insane. Or some mix of the above.

"Yes, well, I suppose I'll be one of the first then! And yes, they are. They're my friends too, though."

He's a mixture of all of the above.
