Wow. To the casual observer, there appeared to be some kind of snow orgy going on. He obviously needed to investigate. He scooped up some snow and threw it into the midst of the crowd before darting a few steps to the right.
... Hey, the most fun part of investigating was experimentation.

How, how the HELL had she missed the arrival of Geordi LaForge?
"...hey," she said, a little weakly. "Welcome to the annual Disneyland snowball fight."

Oh, dear. As usual, Geordi seems to have unnerved a girl. He seemed to have that effect. Well, nothing to be done for it now. He waved at the crowd of snowy people, smiling.
"Hi, everyone! Sorry to disrupt everything. An annual tradition, huh? Do the winners get bragging rights, or --" Sirius's snowball hit Geordi in the chest. He grinned, and waded into the fray. Questions could be answered during, or later, provided there was hot chocolate.
