Louis steps in out of nowhere, puts a hand on her back, and kisses her cheek.

"Hello, Alex. It has been far too long."

Louis is grinning and glowing a bit more than usual, and there is a ring on his left hand now.

She raises an eyebrow.

"You settlin' down, sugar? Never saw it coming."

That's saying something.

He smiles and sits down across from her with a pot of tea and two mugs.

"Neither did I. It is wonderous."

Yes, he's still all starry-eyed.

She pats his shoulder and then his cheek.

"Both of you deserved it. Couldn't've happened to two better gods."

She's slumped on a table, untouched cup of coffee in front of her. She fell asleep before she got to drink it.

Long day at work.

There're warm hands on her shoulders, but they're not as warm as she's used to. Just Alex trying to make her day a little brighter.
