"Hello, Alex. It has been far too long."
Louis is grinning and glowing a bit more than usual, and there is a ring on his left hand now.

"You settlin' down, sugar? Never saw it coming."
That's saying something.

"Neither did I. It is wonderous."
Yes, he's still all starry-eyed.

"Both of you deserved it. Couldn't've happened to two better gods."

Then, he looks up at her.
"How have you been?"

Her eyes widen and she laughs out loud.
"A blush? You? Oh, honey, now I'm curious how all this happened. You know I can't resist a good story."

He blushes a little more.
"The pieces all fell into place last night. I took him to my Home and asked him to be my Consort. He said yes."

She reaches over and runs her thumb over one blushing cheek.
"S'good for you. Little balance for Mista All Knowing."

"I thought for a time that it might be you."

"Nah, sugar. I got my own road and besides, too much like you to balance anything. We're friends, right enough, but what you got's different."
