Starting with Day 22, as between the mission that "takes place" at Day 17 and now, there's a tiny time skip (thank heavens, I was starting to be afraid we really would have about 358 missions... I guess it's more /2, huh 8D)

Fanon > canon to a point. I doubt it's fanon > canon when they turn the Org in its entirety to cross dressing idiot saps.
And again - not everyone see it like you do. I know AkuRoku's friendship was canon before Nomura ever had a reason to come up with Xion, but now that he did - all those reasons to hate Xion logically have no basis. She was there from the start. You might rage about her being there to begin with but then you're no better than people that hate on Kairi for coming in between Sora and Riku - something I don't do, mind.

It's quite alright. This thing's here to be responded to. I'm actually quite happy and excited someone's bothering to reply at all 8D

Xion is so in the way for me. Im suprised you find her more useful. She does nothing but makes me trip over her and run face first into a wall.

I had a theory about it a while ago I posted on KHI - that Xion's link to Sora's Memories was established when Xemnas and Sora fought in the first Final Mix.
Do you know where that entry is offhand to link me? I dont live on those forums enough and have clearly missed it. :(

She's well written enough for me to not really mind. Also, she's adorable to boot. Some scenes her angst just gets in the way, but I can't really blame it on her as much as I do the bad writing from the people in charge. She's just too cute ;-;

I havent read any of the novels and Im still not very far yet so I havent seen a whole lot of her. Im being openminded about her though. The series is bad with writing their characters in most cases and that irks me, but I want to like Xion. I just think I need to see her more and that when I fight with her she needs to be more useful. That is computer AI though really.

The only character that was really badly written in KH for me thus far was Kairi. And she was bad for the whole cast so it evens out on the Karmic level.
Xion was pretty slow at first for me too, but as more time passes she becomes all but a badass. It's pretty sweet seeing her teaming up with Roxas to cause massive damage c:
