Fabulous job on this.

I can keep on going about why I dislike her for hours.
...then again, I wrote this essay. I think it spared me the trouble.
The truly worst part is yet to come though, and it's what you're so interested in.
It needs a serious re-write from what I had made up at the time, but it will be written and uploaded, and thus the essay will come upon completion.
Thank you for both input and for sticking around. I'll do my best to upload the next parts shortly.

one thing I noticed you didn't cover though is when in RE:COM Sora is supposed to think of the person that's most important to him KAIRI is the one that appears.
I'd be interested in putting any doubts regarding that to rest.
but really great job.
And I can call myself an official Kari Hater

The point remains that Kairi is most important.
If it comes down to a question of SoKai Vs. SoNami wouldn't that almost certainly point to SoKai?
but then again you did say that even if SoKai happened. (ZOMG) that it would still be SoNami in a way so...

Having been just about brainwashed about how much Kairi means to Sora - and what would Organization Nobodies know about that sort of thing, especially when they were playing more on Namine's lack of self worth in light of being Kairi's Nobody - Namine would naturally aim Sora at Kairi, whom she believes to be important to Sora.
Many would argue she saw how important Kairi was in his Memories, but then - why didn't we ever get to see that? Why did we only get to see everything I brought up in the essay?
Kairi's only important because Namine said so.
Sora says otherwise.
And seeing how Sora ended up remembering Namine to a debatable degree, I doubt SoKai'll happen even more, beyond Nomura seemingly not rushing in to canonize any couple.

So you'd rather kairi be a damsel in distress? At the very least i have to commend her for going off in search of Sora. Plus you say that Namine gets the short end of the stick cause shes a shadow, how about Roxas? wasnt he forgotten as well?

I fail to see how her wanting to uphold her promise to Sora would've made her a Damsel in Distress. Her wanting off the islands in search of him (and not Riku, mind, since Riku will be fine, as she herself stated, ugh) isn't what got her to be a damsel in distress. That happened on its own, regardless of whether or not Kairi was to uphold her side of the promise.
And I'm not really discussing Roxas himself in this essay, now am I?

And I doubt I'll ever take it down. It's been getting traffic lately, actually, which is mind blowing @_@ like, WHY? And stuff.
Yeah Kairi is actually really easy to ignore thanks to being mostly a plot device. And omfg SoNami @~@
I know what you mean, Rix *heavy sigh* Those WERE good times, and a pretty long time, too. I miss the gang, but I can't really say I regret leaving. Falling out of touch, though... that's a different thing. Well, at least you know where to find me if you miss me :3
