"You said it." After Haku had called and they were properly filled with meat, Duo took the opportunity to teach Sam a bit about the D-readers. Keep this digital meat stored away? Still warm? Until they call it again? Perfect. They also had veggies and potatoes. A full meal for when they needed it almost.
As far as what he mentioned to Haku, he had to wonder if she was going to bring up what he said about his band in conversation. That would be interesting.
"Let's chill at a table for a while, huh? Go pick one out and I'll get some beers."
Duo looked up to the back as they entered the bar, spotting Haku bent over one of the sound consoles, fiddling with the functions. She didn't see them just yet, her head down, long white ponytail hanging over her shoulder and a focused expression on her face.
He nodded to Sam, figuring he'd let her work until she realized they'd arrived.
"Alright. She'll probably be done soon," he said, taking up a chair at a table about halfway in to the bar.
Sam went to the bar and retrieved three bottles for the three of them to enjoy and some water as well. Once finished, he navigated his way to the table, casting a glance over to where his son had directed. So that's Haku? In person?
Once he sat down and slid the beer over to his kid and set the rest down, he smirked. "Haku said I should play with her sometime."
She had an interesting look, if nothing else. Though from Japan, she didn't exactly look fully Japanese, with silver white hair that went past her waist, big bright red eyes and very pale skin. Really she looked more albino than anything, though that wasn't the reason for her appearance. That was something Duo hadn't quite explained to Sam yet.
"Heh. Not surprised. She was a musician in her world. Her whole family was, really," Duo said, then added after a pause, "... which... actually brings me to something I should probably tell you about her..."
