Who: Haku, Duo, open after the first few tags What: It's a small crime and I've got no excuse When: Morning, February 8th, 2011 [frontdate] Where: DATS Neon
Duo's presence was pretty common around either DATS location. He was usually bothering Quatre these days, but he still went to see Haku on occasion, usually to shoot the breeze and/or torment her like a good 'little brother
( ... )
Haku's tired red eyes barely moved to look at Duo. She shook her head a little, but didn't say anything. She couldn't tell him any more than she could tell her family.
"Did you get enough sleep last night? You look..."
Duo's words trailed off, all joking put aside when he finally recognized what he was seeing. She wasn't tired, she was in shock. Mild enough that she still had the mind to come to work, but not so much that she was capable of thinking straight enough to work.
Something had happened.
"Haku, what's wrong?" he asked, tone changing to worry. He reached forward, intending to grab her shoulders and give her a shake, but stopping when he saw the strange indentations on her wrists. His hand moved down, gently taking hers and lifting it to see. "... you're damaged."
She winced slightly at the movement, his touch inadvertently causing pain to the broken nerve receptors there. She still didn't say anything, though, gaze shifting away from Duo and to the floor.
Tears stung in her eyes again, but they didn't fall. She didn't want them to anyway. She was already emotionally drained as it was.
