Nadeko had been walking around for the same reason as Doumeki was practicing archery: just getting things moving again after Data Freeze. She was actually on her way back to the apartment to check on her parents roommates when she heard the sound of thudding.

... she vaguely recognized the sound as the sound of arrows hitting targets. She'd sometimes watched the high school's archery club practicing on her way back from school, though she had never tried anything for herself.

And here she was again, standing at the edge of the courtyard, awestruck and mesmerized by the image of Doumeki shooting targets.

Doumeki had notched another arrow and pulled back the string, aiming yet again with every intent of letting it fly.

He hesitated, though, fully aware of a gaze that was trained specifically on him, somewhere near by. It certainly wasn't giving him any sense of foreboding, and it wasn't like there was many in the way of hostiles that could just wander on to Hyperion grounds and start causing trouble without getting noticed.

Deciding it wasn't anything worth stopping over, at least for the moment, he let the arrow go. This time it hit almost directly center, barely a few centimeters off.

Good. That was better.

Letting out a breath, he pulled his arms in to the resting position and turned, shouldering his long bow once he saw that it was Nadeko who was standing near by.

"Were you frozen, too?" he asked with mild curiosity in his voice. It worried him a little, to think that she may have been without any of her guardians during the time he and Watanuki were out. Not that it showed on his features or anything.

Oh, she was caught.

After a brief moment of shock, she pulled her jacket a little tighter around her and nodded, stepping a little further into the courtyard.

"I think so. I don't remember anything from the past four days. I woke up and found you and Watanuki-san standing very still."

She looked to the target.

"Almost perfect ..."

"... sorry," Doumeki said with a very light sigh. He was hoping to have avoided something like that, but at least she was frozen nearly as long as they were.

Her attention on the target turned his own gaze back to it.

"Almost."

Watanuki blinked up at the ceiling. He certainly didn't remember ever going to bed. The last thing he remembered was cleaning up after dinner in the kitchen. He blinked again before sitting up. It was definitely the bedroom, not the kitchen. Though he was still in the same clothes, and was rather sore. Maybe he'd passed out? But there really had been no reason for him to ( ... )

Doumeki did return much later, after his conversation with Nadeko, announcing his arrival with the closing of the door and a thud of his equipment on the entryway floor.

"Dou-kun Dou-kun, Wata-kun is awake!" Moro cheered as she came bounding up to him, landing on his shoulder with an affectionate nuzzle.

"Is he?"

Watanuki was lounging nearly out of sight of the doorway on the couch in the living room. Even though it felt like he had been asleep for days, he'd almost nodded off a few times after he'd finished cooking.

"Uh huh! He's all sleepy, Dou-kun!" Maru added from where she was currently perched on the kitchen counter. "Poor Wata-kun slept too much and is still sleepy!"

"-m not..." Watanuki muttered and rubbed his eyes.

"Moving around helps," Doumeki said casually as he headed in to the bedroom. He came out a few minutes later, changed again in to something more casual than his archery clothes.

"You'll shake it off eventually."
