Not long after C.C. stepped into the establishment, another figure stepped inside. He really hadn't expected her to come here of all places, but he wasn't exactly upset. Perhaps the only problem with it was an overabundance of witnesses. And really, that wasn't a problem for him. He wasn't wearing signature coat, nor was he wearing his usual glasses, and even his hair was styled differently. He looked less like a pirate, and more like an underachieving middle manager.
Even with his wanted status, very few people would be likely to recognise him. He'd never met C.C. in person, either. Hopefully she wouldn't even see him coming.
But, somewhere in the back of his mind, it seemed to him that it would be a lot less fun. Still, with what he had in mind, needless risks in the name of fun would only be a harm. He had time to be patient. With all that in mind, he stepped into line behind his target. She only seemed to go out for this... interfereing in the ritual would be counterproductive to his plans.
Receiving her pizza from the front counter, she turned to find a seat, passing by Gilder. She paused and tapped her foot for a moment, before halfway glancing back at him.
"Ah, sorry," Gilder said, ducking his head slightly. "I... uh... just thought you..."
He swallowed and shook his head, glancing back at her. "Nevermind," he said. "Hey, soon as I grab my slice, can I join you?"
The bumbling act was almost painful. But it served a purpose. He caught her order, after all, and found what she'd been drawn out for. Everything else from here was easy.

"And why would I want to do that?"
