Who: Greg, Ruffnut, Lance (later), partners What: Going to save a Viking from the terrible automatic sprinklers at the park When: May 11th, evening Where: Neon City, Natsu Mizu-umi Park
"Fine stay in there and starve for all I care. Sooner you die sooner I can go it alone again." Dracomon huffed and started to walk away.
Ruffnut wasn't so much swinging a tree as hiding in it. For lack of better cover she had scurried up the tree and was carving a new spear from a branch using her knife, "This place is dangerous...I'm not movin' till I have another spear." She was swift enough at the work and had almost finished work on the second spear, having lost her first one in the car.
"It wouldn't be so dangerous if you'd just pay attention." Dracomon insisted with an annoyed sigh, "All the tamers in the multiverse and I get the brute who's afraid of technology."
A pinecone flew from the tree pegging Dracomon in the back of the head. This sent the little Digimon into a rage and he turned sharply firing a beam of energy from his mouth burning a hole through the branches and needles of the pine tree Ruffnut was hiding in. She retaliated with more pinecones.
Of course they could see and hear the blast from where they were, but the evening dusk provided very little light that far away, making it difficult to tell just WHAT was going on.
Which of course sent Greg's mind to worse case scenario.
"Ah hell..."
"You know we could just turn around and let the stabbity Viking fend for herself."
Greg threw a glare at his partner, instinctively taking out his flashlight and side arm, bolting in the direction the blast had come from.
The fight had escalated by the time Greg caught sight of them. Ruffnut had run out of ammo so she hurled herself from the tree landing a few feet to the left of Dracomon throwing off his aim before tackling him and pinning him with her shield.
The Digimon to his credit was no pushover and managed to get his clawed feet under the shield shoving hard sending Ruffnut flying off him. She landed with a thud rolling and scrambling back to her feet with a roar tackling him. The fight soon devolved into cursing and rolling around in the grass, Ruffnut punching and hitting while Dracomon clawed and bit.
Greg and Gomamon had stopped very abruptly when they came across the scene, Greg with his side arm lowered and eyebrow raised. He passed a confused glance at Gomamon, only getting an equally confused shrug and mumbled 'iunno' in return.
"... hey!"
They didn't stop.
"HEY!"
Still fighting.
A sigh, and Greg raised in his gun in the air, firing off a round with a sharp crack. Hopefully that would get their attention.
