As C.C. rounded the corner, she came into sight of the brutish looking Tamer. She gave a long blink, and gave a quick look around.
Dammit. No one else to shovel the responsibility of dealing with this person onto.
And, well, she still had a part she was playing here. Heaven help her, she had yet to figure out WHY she still was, but nonetheless...
"I'm sorry," she said, yet despite the words they fell flat and deadpan. "I don't quite ... recognize you, and I think I'd remember someone like yourself. Do you need anything?"
Jim turned sharply with a stern appraising look at the newcomer relaxing about a hair when he saw she wasn't a digimon or particularly supernatural looking. Indeed from where he stood she posed no threat.
"Detective Jim Mendetta...I'm just looking around." He tried to brush her off with that simple explanation...but somehow he guessed it wouldn't be so easy.
"Whoa, babe alert!" Piyomon chirped earning him a flick on the back of the head by his massive partner.
C.C. held a briefly bemused look towards Piyomon before she crossed her arms, focusing back on Jim. "A ... detective, you say? Is there any particular business you have here?"
God, that sounded awfully formal. But, well, hopefully he had SOMETHING of interest to say. At least it could get her mind off things, albeit briefly.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a speck of green hair. Blinking, she gotten up from the couch and followed after her.
"Miss, are you lost?" she asked. Keep in mind, though, that she never actually SAW C.C. in person.
