"Hm!?" Konata turned at the sound of those two particular voices, homing in on their sources with all the speed and accuracy of a high-end military sonar system-- and her eyes widened as she spotted the very, very distinctive form of a demon penguin coming into view. "Nnwhoa!! It's--"
The blue-haired girl shot to her feet, standing on top of the bench and pointing. "-- Prinny!!" Konata yelled at the top of her lungs, eyes sparkling like mad.
Vi-Elecmon flattened herself against the bench, burying her face in her paws. "Why me...?"
Prinny jumped in shock, throwing the huge bag of candy up into the air. At the same time, Arika leaped forward and caught it, teetering dangerously before righting herself.
The pair let out a sigh of relief before Prinny turned around at the shouter and waved a felt flipper. "Hey dood, what's up?" he called out to Konata.
While Eiji and Sadaharu were off doing who knows what, Ryoma had decided to wander around Tetha with Karupin. He had his tennis bag with him in case he decided to go play some tennis. He then happened to catch sight of Konata and overhear her talk of RPGs.
"Weren't you the one people had to tell that this isn't a game?" he asked.
"... heh?" Konata blinked up at the younger boy, taken off-balance by... well, Ryoma being Ryoma. "-- um, if you're talking about my first transmission on the D-Reader, then--"
She stopped talking as recognition sank in, her expression shifting from surprise to bemused in no time flat. "... y'know, it's really kind of weird hearing that from the Prince of Tennis." There WAS something ironic about an anime character mentioning that she shouldn't be thinking about this as a game.
"... because you're from an anime series where I'm from," Konata replied breezily. Normally, she'd be worried about breaking the time-space continuum or something like that, but in this case, she'd already TOLD Eiji about their anime/manga origins.
Koushirou sighed as he walked through Tetha. It had been 6 years since it had happened, but after the whole huge debacle that nearly cost them the world because of one stupid fight...well, he was going to tread carefully.
Ever since then buying Sora Takenouchi a birthday present had never been easy.
And now that he could actually see properly he felt he should get ahead of the game on this one. But there was still one thing that troubled the genius in general. What the hell did a guy friend get a girl turning 16? He'd asked Tentomon but he'd come up dry (his partner was still a little depressed as to not having and answer from Piyomon) and when he insisted that Tentomon come with him the digimon fell asleep. He couldn't blame him, he hated shopping too.
Then he saw Konata and caught a glimpse of her talking about RPG's. He smiled; a break couldn't hurt.
"NPC?" Konata looked up and blinked as recognition set in. "Ah, you're... Koushirou Izumi, right?" she said, more for the look of things than for confirmation. A thought flitted across her mind as she looked at the taller boy. ... why do I keep expecting these people to look like they did in season 1?
"No, well..." Konata waved a hand. "In your case, you more than qualify as a PC," she said with a grin. "Trust me on this."
Koushirou grinned. "I will, after all I've never really played RPG's so I wouldn't know. I just know a little from some of Ryo's ramblings. And um, yes, I'm Koushirou. I'm assuming you're Konata?"
"Really? I would've thought that RPGs would fit your playing style... you seem like you'd be really good at them." That, or strategy games. "-- and yup. Konata Izumi."
Konata paused. "... er. No relation," she added with a grin.

The slim girl had been paired up with Prinny in order to get the Darkmoon Faire restocked with local candies while BPE sent their shipment.

Prinny on the other hand was carrying a huge pile of candy and other assorted foods on his back in a giant sack.
Arika looked at it critically and asked, "Can you carry all of that?"
"Oh sure dood, this is nothing! It's not as heavy as anything Master Etna makes us carry; and she's riding on top of it!"
