Said something would be a small shop that had been right near Erio when it exploded into flames. Whatever it sold became irrelevant within seconds, as the arrival of... something had occurred with all the force of a small explosive.
Rubble, glass, Digi-Eggs of both store owners and patrons came flying out of the burning building. And, in fact, one Goblimon came out screaming, having somehow escaped the brunt of the explosion--
--only for a sword to come jabbing out of the fires, running right through his back.
As another Digi-Egg clattered to the street, two figures came marching out.
One, was a Duskmon.
The other, a... knight of some sort, wielding the source of that Goblimon's demise. The knight had heavy, black and blue armor, and a long, crimson cape. It was difficult, from the armor, to make out the gender... and when the knight spoke, the gender seemed masked even then, though it didn't appear to be by obviously electronic means.
Yellow magical energy flashing over him like lightning, Erio formed his Barrier Jacket on instinct as he flew back. He drove Strada's bladed end into the hard street to bring himself to a stop, dropping down to one knee from the abruptness of it all.
Elecmon, wasn't so lucky, and went tumbling back end over end.
The young man grit his teeth, pulling himself up and yanking his Device out of the ground, spinning it around to point it at this attacker.
"You may refer to me as Vectra," she stated. "I am to test the skill of those that are the self-proclaimed the defenders of this world."
Your resolve is already fractured, Erio, Signum thought to herself, gripping the hilt of her blade tightly. In order to move forward, in order to become and do all I desire... all of those old ties...
She lowered her head, eyes narrowing with intense focus. The helmet's eyes flashed a bright red. They must be severed!
With that, both she and Duskmon dashed straight towards the boy, each thrusting a blade out for him.
Erio barely had time to punch in an emergency hail to DATS Neon as the knight and Digimon came hurtling for him. Civilians everywhere scattered and were fleeing in terror from the initial explosion, and Elecmon was rather rattled from being tossed back and trying to get back to his feet...
Erio grit his teeth, and brought Strada up to block. Both swords impacted, electrical power crackling from the Device as he willed his magic to reinforce it.
Still, against the strength of both at once...
His feet were driven hard into the ground, cracking and shattering the pavement beneath them. He tried to push back, but it was to no avail; there was no way he could overpower the both of them...
Signum was thrown straight DOWN by the impact of the explosive meeting. She landed on her feet, but crouched, the sheer force of said landing buckling the street immediately around her

Erio panted, sweat beading around his forehead now as he settled himself, attempting to generate power again. He had been distracted attempting to free Agnimon, but now...
Takuya watched while their enemy had gathered all of her energy into the sword and he gasped slightly.
When he saw the Demon Seal of Lust, he was confused on to just what it was. He never saw something like that before and he was sure this wasn't the last he would have seen it.
He looked as Agnimon was panting after using so many attacks as well as trying to protect him. What could he do?! He couldn't Spirit Evolve. He couldn't try to help Erio or Armstrong for their efforts.
On the other hand, Agnimon shook his head to try to gather more energy so that he could be of use. He saw Argomon had called his vines out and so, while he was preparing for that, he stepped in front of Metalife while flames erupted from him. Vines were susceptible to fire and he was just the Digimon to do it!
If he could keep up the flames to parry off Argomon's vines, then maybe this could work!
What happens when energy meets energy? Armstrong knew the answer and he only intensified his willpower as digi-soul met digi-soul.
There was a brief clash, a flying of sparks -- and then everything happened at once. Sparkling purple digisoul mixed with the black digi-soul, resulting in a explosive fountain of energy that quickly grew up and outwards.
So... a demon seal.
The giant tree-spear held fast at the point of impact and he let out a earth-shaking roar, shockwaves bursting free from his entire body blazing with sparkling purple digisoul in order to press onwards.
Metalife grinned to himself as Agnimon stepped in front of him to parry the imprisonment attack. Cute kid, but you need to learn that I'm no pushover either.
Leveling his fingers, he rested his arms OVER Agnimon's shoulders. "Watch and learn," he grinned as he unleashed a torrent of lasers to cut through Argomon's vines. He fired repeatedly and then strafed the sky, energy blasts raining down in Argomon's general hidden location.

He had to do something, anything...
He grit his teeth, growling.
