"Same goes for me, Doc," snarled Bass. "The thing is, though, you were never anything more than a means to an end for me, even before now. Blame the holes in your stupid programming."

He snickered, a small glow emanating from a particular point on his body. "And frankly, Wily, I'm tired of you at this point..."

Wily's hands balled up into fists.

"Is that the way it is, then? I suppose I have no choice..."

Reggae snickered, as Wily slammed his hand down on a hidden mechanism on his desk.

"TOKEN FIRE ROBOT MASTER ACTIVATION COMPLETE."

A capsule opened behind Bass and Zero, revealing... a red and orange robot that looked a certain Digimon. The digimon's face contorted into a bizzare grin.

"Hi. I'm Mera Man! MAGMA BOMB!"

No sooner than did he make his greeting, than did large balls of fire burst forth from both his hands.

Wily? Ran for it.

Zero and Ryuudamon both dove in opposite directions, the blasts missing them in the process. As Ryuudamon glowed, evolving into Ginryuumon, Zero rolled back to his feet and held his saber up defensively. "Dammit...! The old man's going to get away!"

Bass jumped to the side as well, causing the Magma Bombs to crash into a nearby console and cause it to explode.

"Dammit!" growled Bass. "BlackGabumon! Go get him! Wily tastes like that blue haired guy you dragged in once!"

At that, BlackGabumon foamed at the mouth and took off after Wily, evolving into BlackGarurumon in the proccess.

Mera Man snickered.

"You know, I have to say, I'm honored," he said. "Really, I didn't expect my first mission to be fighting guys like you. Let's hope you live up to what Metal and the others told me!"

With that, he unleashed a Magma Bomb in Zero and his partner's direction.

Zero grit his teeth and... CHARGED towards the Magma Bomb, as Ginryuumon dove out of the way again.

"I do not...!"

His body began to glow...

...and flashed brightly, his armor taking on a black coloration. He dashed under the Magma Bomb, golden energy of his Digi-Soul flaring up around his Z-Saber... flaring up so much that the blade doubled in size.

"HAVE TIME FOR THIS!" he yelled as he came out from the dash, running straight at Mera Man with his sword held to slash at his side.

"What the-?!" exclaimed Mera Man, as Zero sped at him.

The funny thing about Robot Masters like him... was that he was only as advanced as the generation of Robot Masters Wily had left off on before coming to this world.

Which... made him literally a century or two behind Zero.

The robot gave a scream as he attempted to dodge to the side, only for Zero's saber to cleave through and slice off his arm.

About a second later? A buster shot flew forward and smacked into Mera Man, blasting him into and flattening him against a wall.

"... That was really disappointing," Bass growled, as he lowered his smoking weapon.

Zero sighed, his normal crimson coloration returning as his Hyper Mode cooled down. "Tell me about it," he muttered, sheathing his Z-Saber. "Come on, guys, we need to get what we need out of Wily before BlackGarurumon EATS him."

And with that, he and Ginryuumon were off.

Wily? Had been caught, and was currently being shaken like a rag doll by his lab coat.

"HAVE HIM PUT ME DOWN IMMEDIATELY!" screamed the doctor, as he was throttled.

Reggae? Hovered off to the side, laughing.

Zero and Ginryuumon came upon this, and Zero gave an... amused laugh, crossing his arms.

"Shouldn't we do something?" Ginryuumon asked.

"I dunno. Bass?"

"I dunnow, Zero. I'm about ready to let him chew him to bits..."
