As it turned out? One could not simply camp the entrance of the Blue Shrine, as the strange effects that kept the place hidden also made it difficult to find the shrine's exact location.

So, by the time the Shrine appeared, the crew of the Halberd were a fair distance away from it. A large stretch of tundra lay between the point the group was at, and the shrine itself.

As Viral looked out across the landscape, he growled, and turned towards his comrades.

"The Dark Area's probably watching... we'll be ambushed before we even make it there."

Blackarachnia and Kunemon kept to the rear of the group, mostly silent and with Blackarachnia in beast mode. She had expected that much, at least... as the Digital World didn't really have a habit of making it easy for the people who were supposed to be helping it.

But the only reason she was here... was the off chance Nia might appear along with the inevitable chaos that would result.

Goggles resting over his eyes, and his jacket actually closed up to fight against the biting cold, Simon was towards the front of the group with Lagann. He trudged through the snow without much complaint, and gave a mild snort at Viral's last comment.

"Let 'em come. If they're gonna try anything, better for them to get it out of the way so we can put them in their places and move on."

His words were a bit harsher in tone than they may have been had their situation been different. He knew their overall goal was what they had to keep their sights on, but he'd be lying if he said there weren't some frustration brewing inside him.

Still, despite it all, he gave a smirk.

"They don't know who the hell they're dealing with if they think we're going to be stopped easily."

Grimlock was, predictably, walking just in front of BlackArachnia. We was in beast mode, of course, and didn't seem to be minding the cold at all. "Me Grimlock agree!" he boasted. "No puny digimon can stop Me Grimlock!"

NanoTyramon was trudging through the snow beside him, considerably less upbeat than his partner. "Yeah, yeah, you're strong, you're mighty... can we just hurry it up? I'm freezing my jingle bells off here!" he complained.

Some distance away from the main crew, Meta Knight was waiting with several other members of the Halberd's crew. Their job was to rush in if the search team called in for back up.

"Stay sharp, all of you," muttered Meta Knight. "Just because we're not rushing into anything right away doesn't mean we should allow ourselves to be caught unawares."

"Hey, don't act like we're amateurs, man," Bakunetsumaru said, mildly irritated. "I'll have you know I've done this sort of thing dozens of times! You've seen one Dark Army, you've seen 'em all."

Kendomaru the Kotemon sighed, smacking the front of his helmet with a hand. "Why must you taunt people that wield sharp objects? Honestly."

Back into the cold wastes of Meria for Kouji and Hagurumon, though this time they were more prepared for the cold weather... probably because they were psyched and ready to head out on a moments notice.

"Eh, I've been in worse, bird!" Kouji said to Falco's Falcomon. "Wait until you've been inside a volcano!"

"Now that's some hot stuff!" Hagurumon said.
