"So, chances of him having a bad feeling about this?"
"Doesn't matter. He'll know soon enough."
Matt nodded at Shagon's comment before hearing Patamon. He grinned before putting on his helmet and walking out. The Coldstone armor was about to get a test run.
Vader shoved outwards, the Firebolt splashing against a shield of digisoul as the other hand was brought up to meet Matt's head-on charge. His saber hissing, he swung to clash with Matt's outstretched blades.
"Quite stubborn you are, not warning ally," stated Kotemon as he stabbed a saber into the ground and pole-vaulted over the Fog, the other slicing the Airshot in half. "Reckless it may be. Thunder Kote!"
Sabers charged with lightning, he slammed it out on either side of himself, lightning racing across the ground to hit both of the flying digimon.
Matthew darted around in a circle, keeping his distance as he thought up another spell on the fly. "Holy light, burst into a million shards!"
His sword glowed with power and he swung it at Vader once he was on the other side of the pair of combatants. "Piercing Edge!" he yelled, throwing an arrow-head shaped blast at Vader's back.
Matt pushed up against Vader's lightsaber, using the rockets on his back and feet to increase the force, trying to buy time for Matthew's attacks.
Shagon didn't rise to Kotemon's criticism. Instead, seeing the counterattacks, he warned Patamon, "We need to engage him directly. He's too agile for ranged attacks to work."
Vader pushed back, throwing up a streak of digisoul that the Piercing Edge ricocheted off of and flew into the sky. Wrestling with Matt's own attack, he uttered, "Destroyed Rock," and threw Matt backwards in order to bring his saber down in a brushing blow.
Kotemon on the other hand allowed the others to circle, his blades in an defensive stance.
Seeing that Matthew was making a sneak attack, Matt let himself take Vader's attack, taking only enough that in a real battle, it wouldn't be a major injury. The armor dented and started to heat up in the area where he was hit, and he checked the systems quickly. Blasters in the left wrist were dead--not terrible, but not all that great either.
Shagon followed up Patamon's attack with a physical one, trying to get at Kotemon from behind.
Vader twisted, stepping to the side as he spun the saber to his other hand as a shield made of digisoul arose in order to try and slam Matt in the chest. He met Matthew's sword and the weapons hissed together as it was on low.
Kotemon squeezed his eyes reflexively as he took Shagon's hit directly. Flying backwards from the impact, he rolled to his feet and crossed his sabers in a defensive reflex.
Matthew pushed back from the impact as he shoved Vader's blade backwards with surprising strength, magic flowing down his arm. "Lightning Blade!" he called out and electricity flared out to splash against Vader's own digisoul aura.
"Hey Pata Pata!" proclaimed Patamon, delivering a kick to the head that drove Kotemon back even further.
Much as he hated to admit it, Matt was grateful for the armor as the Digisoul shield smashed on top of him. Taking advantage of Vader and Matthew's swordfight, he fired from the blaster on his right wrist toward Vader's back.
Shagon got on the other side of Kotemon and attempted to slam into him at a lower angle.
"Doesn't matter. He'll know soon enough."

The air shot was aimed at the ground which had a fine layer of dust on it, stirring it up and blowing it into Kotemon's face.
Matthew in the meantime, rushed in, swinging his sword down in order to try and catch Vader from behind.
