Matthew had NO IDEA what he was in for.
Sure there was the tiniest possibility that Matt was still really damn mad at him for taking his powers, even inadvertently. But at the same time, there was a lingering sense of dread creeping up his spine as he stepped into the arena.
The "arena" was a huge square room that had two inactive "goals" at either end with something in the middle with a huge area for viewing public surrounding the court. But other than the janitor, there was little to be noted of it.
At least until Matthew stepped INTO the court with his digimon partner trailing behind, Patamon proclaimed "I'm going to sing the Doom song!"
Matthew facepalmed. Not a good way to start an afternoon.
