Lotusmon smiled. "For the first leg of our little contest, our young ladies will come out onto the runway looking their best."
((This is the dress portion of the contest. Describe the outfit your character is wearing and what they do out on the runway. Order is not important.))

This was the most stupidest thing in the face of stupid and Jess was going to let Videoman know this, and very loudly, once this was all over.
Of course plotting ways to get back at her boyfriend for this had to be put aside, if only for a moment, as Jess had to do this. At least her dress was nice, a pale green color, ending just above her knees and it's tasteful not showing too much skin. But the fact that as she's doing her runway walk she's close to scowling might lose her some points.

Yoshino went out onto the runway. She was wearing a pink dress with white sleeves, with a black choker with a tiny gold medal on it. She also wore a white sash, and had her tail tied up into a bun.
Before walking out onto stage, she was very nervous... but once she was there, the sight of Masaru taking his place out in the audience caused her to to forget all that. She walked out, did her turn on the catwalk, and waved enthusiastically before returning.

"He is so going to die," Serene muttered under her breath as she did her runway walk. After her flying race, she thought she was done, but oh no, her demon digimon partner signed her up for the one thing she really had no clue on.
Serene wore a sleeveless pale blue dress that went down to her ankles. Nothing special at all. And because she was entirely clueless on the whole beauty thing, she continued to wear her black cat ear hat with all the little white stripes running all over herself. She had a huge blush on her face and she started to trip over her feet as she made her round.
Serene was much more comfortable being a tomboy than a prettied up doll.

"For this next segment," said Lotusmon, "our girls will be coming out on stage in their swimsuits. No laughing, everyone, and please... be respectful to all our contestants."
She produced her double headed snake staff. "Seriously. I mean it."
Re: Swimsuit SegmentlastofthearcsMarch 19 2008, 03:02:35 UTC
Serene walked up to the runway, her swimsuit being a pale blue and black striped two piece, of which she had a very little liking to. But if her other friends back home can wear them, little reason to not give it a shot. Oh, and she remembered to take off her cat ear head dressing this time around.
This time around, she had a little bit more confident walk than her dress segment.

For this last portion, Yoshino had put back on her dress, and had a piano brought out onto stage.
As she took her seat... she more than ever felt the weight of all eyes on her. As she sat there, temporarily frozen, she felt like she was a young girl again... back on that same stage, unable to perform.
...
But she wasn't that girl anymore.
Remembering Masaru, and Lalamon, she put her hands on the keys and began to play...
Once she was done, she stood up... and happier than she could ever know, bowed to the audience.
Winner or not, she had done what she had set out to do... and to her, that was most significant of all.
((Basically, imagine adult Yoshino in the place of chibi!Yoshino in that scene. Same song, of course.))

When Jess went on the stage for the last portion of the contest, which had been cleared of anything from any of the previous girls' acts, not in a fancy dress or anything like that but in a simple white t-shirt and black skirt.
Once she was in the center of the stage she smiled as a unique song started up.
When she was done she held the final pose, grinning from ear to ear, for a minute before bowing and leaving the stage.
((Just... Imagine Jess doing Haruhi's part in the dance, since she is doing it on her own. :|b))

Final part. Serene got back in her normal attire for this. She got some wooden targets all set up. It was time to show off the one other thing she was good at: beating up the bad guys! With her scythe on hand, the performance started.
Serene swung her scythe around easily, and moves from one target to the next with fluid movements, something that wasn't necessarily easy to do with a heavy scythe about as big as her, much less for your typical girl.
Down to the last few targets left, Serene let out a shout.
"Serene Absolute!"
The stage was now littered with ice. Serene rested her scythe on her shoulder as she bowed out.
((The video showcases her final set of moves, and yes, she does summon up some ice in her move))

Sharpay smirked the first time Mackenzie stepped onstage. Yes, the hockey player cleaned up nicely, but even she was amazed at her own handiwork. Huh, maybe if she could never return to the stage herself, she'd take up costuming and makeup.
"That's my project," she informed Ashton rather proudly.
Re: Spectator ThreadscarybarrelloveMarch 19 2008, 07:01:49 UTC
Ashton glanced over at Sharpay briefly, then turned his attention back to the stage. "I've got to give you credit for great design!" he whispered so as not to draw attention to himself.
"Well everyone, we've had a lot of stunning young ladies up on stage today, and it's time that we announced the winners of our little pageant..."
The Fairy digimon cleared her throat. "In first place, winning the Grand Prize of 20000 BITs and the Tifaret is... Fujieda Yoshino!
"In second place, earning a prize of 15000 BITs and a Queen Device... is Faith Lehane!
"And our third place winner, who will receive 10000 BITs and a Holy Ring... is Mackenzie Alexander!"
All three top winners were then escorted onto stage, and awarded their prizes, along with varying tiaras and a bouquet of roses. All other contestants were given roses and a prize of 500 BITs.
Honestly. Faith hadn't come here to win. Just came to have a once in a life time thing that she probably would never repeat, but seriously thought it would be cool to do the whole Star Wars schtick.
She just never expected to actually be in the top three. Sure she would have loved to have won the whole damn thing but second wasn't bad. And seriously, she only got into this whole thing because of Yoshi's talking to her. She deserved first more than anyone.
"Congratulations Yoshi. How does it feel?" Faith asked her when she was next to her as they were both waving the crowd.

Jess doesn't care about that anyway.

And she might just be blushing at little at this part, but at least she's smiling now.

"I'm really glad that that Ogremon who enters every year didn't this time."
Etemonkey laughed. "Yeah... actually, I had her barred at the entrance."
PlatinumNumemon laughed nervously. "Good man."
