And In the digital world, only the most deadly of predictors stalked the night.

"Paullllloooo~" Her voice, as sweet as honey and smooth as silk drifted on the winds.

"Paullllllloooo~" Again but a whisper against his ear, warm breath running down the fur on his neck.

His mother once more, beautiful as she ever could be...except this time she had the lower body of a spider.

But she had silently laned, RIGHT BEHIND HIM!

In some act of mercy by the hands of fate, Kazuma and Suoh did NOT see the woman who could have very well looked like their mothers as well, mainly because their attention was on the massive Dark Gaogamon now in front of them, separating them from Alice and the rest of the fight.

"That's... a big dog..." Kazuma muttered under his breath as Suoh removed several sharpened kunai from his hidden arsenal. He was still without Hyoko as the bird digimon was still weak from finally hatching in to Chicchimon, but Kazuma at least had White Lopmon. Alice also had Charlie, not that she was currently paying attention to her partner.

No. Her attention was on the fact that Paulo, one of her own students, had just kicked her mother in the face. Nevermind that her mother should never had been there - he was still HURTING her, and badly at that.

"PAULO!" she screamed, fists clenched and shaking at her sides, "GET AWAY FROM HER!"

Hearing his name called the feline turned his attention on the one calling his name, Alice. Hearing those works coming out of her mouth shocked him and it was obvious. That was for the two seconds it actually shocked him before he turned back into pure rage made. "SHUT UP AND STAY OUT OF THIS BITCH!" He roared at Alice and turned his attention back on the other mother. "I'm going to kill her once and for all!"

Dark Breaker looked down at his prey and opened his mouth. "SPIRAL BLOW!" A massive tornado at the two. He wasn't pulling any punches, just like his tamer.

"N-no...no stay back you monster." She begged crawling backards and then stumbling to her feet as if to run, hopefully enticing him to lunge again...and hopefully Alice would get in the way.

A puddle of dark blood stained the pavement. Any normal human losing that much blood would be lightheaded and weak.

"Damn! ROLL, KAZUMA!" Suoh ordered as the massive digimon aimed his attack at them. Separating and going different directions, Kazuma and Suoh both went rolling away, narrowly missing the tornado that tore through where they had been standing a moment ago. As soon as Suoh had landed, he hurled three of the kunai covered in blue digisoul at Breaker, intending to hit him in the eye and hopefully disorient him.

"I dare say, quite uncooth of you young man!" Charlie barked at Paulo, though it was useless to say the least. Neither Paulo or Alice were listening.

"WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM?!" Alice demanded shrilly, positively trembling in her own growing rage, "Why are you attacking my mother, Paulo?!"

"I SAID SHUT UP!" Paulo turned on Alice and ran at her. The Other Mother could wait right now. She was getting in his way and yelling at him. "She isn't your mother you dumb broad!" He threw a punch at her, hoping it would shut her up.

Dark Breaker growled as he missed. His head jerked then the when the kunai hit his face. All three stuck in his eye and he roared, blood now running from the wounded socket. He unleashed another tornado, this one traveling down the street and heading right for the dojo.

And just like that, she was slipping into the shadows, her lips curved into a wicked grin.

Up to the rooftops, well out of sight, her eyes were black stars shining down on the little boy she had raised to be a monster.

Mother had never been more proud of a filthy disgusting cat.

"I KNOW MY OWN MOTHER!" Alice screamed back, catching the punch with her hand. It hurt a lot more than she had expected it to, and she could feel her wrist twisting back unnaturally from the force of it. The dark digisoul had given him so much strength that even her skills were faltering in the face of it.

At the other end of the fight, Kazuma was already winded, the roll to get away having sent new waves of pain through his bruised abdomen and leaving him crouched on one knee in the street. He looked up just in time to see something odd slipping in to the shadows away from where Alice and Paulo were fighting (why did he see his mother there for a second? Was it just an odd trick of the light - Alice had said that was her mother, didn't she?) but his attention was just as quickly ripped away when Suoh screamed loudly and made him realize just what Breaker had done. The attack was going to hit the studio head on...

"Lopmon Digivolve to... TURUIEMON!" came a sudden cry from Kazuma's side as he partner went charging past him, flashing in a glow of red as he evolved in to the much larger bi-pedal rabbit form. She threw herself right in the path of the tornado attack, dropping her iron claws down as she launched an attack of her own at it.

"PIKA SPARKLING!" she cried out, slashing rapidly at the tornado. Unfortunately, with Breaker's dark evolution, he was just that much stronger than the rabbit digimon. The wind dissipated, but not enough to keep her from getting swept up in it. With a shriek Turuiemon was caught up in it and went hurling in to the very building she was trying so desperately to protect. The front window shattered as she went flying through it, skidding to a halt on the mats somewhere inside, the sea-wind battered wood cracking and snapping around it.

"NO! TURUIEMON!" Kazuma screamed, trying to stand and chase after her.

"JUST STAY OUT OF THIS!" Paulo kicked out at Alice and turned to look for his mother but she was gone. His head whipped around frantically, his fur standing on end as he became more enraged. This couldn't be happening! He had finally gotten the courage to fight her and she was gone?! He turned on Alice again, his rage turning from the monster and onto the teacher.

"THIS IS YOUR FAULT! YOU LET HER GET AWAY!" He went for her again, throwing another dark digisoul covered punch at her. He'd make her pay for this!

Dark Breaker howled again as he tried to use his paw to dislodge the kunai from his eye. They fell out after a few swipes of his massive claw and he turned his attention on the rabbit inside the dojo. Opening his maw again he fired another tornado at the building, intent on bringing it down with the digimon still inside.

"TURUIEMON! GET OUT OF THERE!" Kazuma screamed shrilly, attempting to run to the building before Breaker's attack hit it.

"No! Kazuma, don't!" Suoh barked, grabbing the boy from behind and hauling him backwards. Kazuma didn't know when he had started crying, but tears were falling down his face as he struggled against the much stronger teenager's grasp, legs flailing wildly in a futile attempt to break away. Inside the building the rabbit was groaning, rolling about in obvious pain. Slowly she sat up, only to see that tornado bearing down on her and the studio.

"NO! LET ME GO! TURUIEMON! TURUIEMON!"

"KAZU--!"

CRASH!The entire front of the studio, plus a good chunk of the front of the structures on either side were blown away, scattering debris in to the air and all across the street. With a sickening creak and a groan, the support beams inside collapsed as though they had been little more than toothpicks, and the entire second floor came down on Turuiemon, leaving nothing but a cloud of dust in it's wake

It had started out as just another day, lazily following Quatre to work, with Hyoko in tow. But the network post from one of Suoh's students began to worry Saghid. He had no idea when he'd started having such a soft spot for humans, but he wasn't about to leave his tamer's boyfriend in trouble when he might be able to do something. Rather than disrupt Quatre though, Saghid slipped out of the office while Quatre was focused on something else and made his way to the dojo, holding Hyoko by his feathers in his mouth.

He wasn't exactly happy with the scene he came upon. The dojo was in the process of falling down, and Suoh's student was out of control, attacking the owner. Walking over to Suoh, he set Hyoko down at Suoh's feet. The little fluff ball may not be able to do much of anything, but he could certainly try.

Paulo moved toward Alice, a dark glare on his face. Her soft plea fell on deaf ears as he stood over her and pressed his foot on her chest. "You let her get away! That monster got away because of you!" He pressed down harder, wanting to hear her scream and beg for him to forgive her.

Breaker was not done with his rampage either. He turned on the group of tamers and digimon who seemed to have forgotten him. He moved towards them, a dark chuckle rippling from his chest. "I wonder what ninja tastes like." He licked his lips before growling. "You took my eye! I'll take your life!" He lunged at the, massive jaws open.

She didn't scream, but she was wheezing, gasping for hair and letting out pained noises at the foot being shoved down on her chest. Her ribs didn't break, but they were threatening to give way if Paulo kept going. She trued to hook her arm around the back of his leg, throw him off, get him away, but she couldn't quite get the strength to buckle his already bent leg.

"Wh-what... what are you... talking about..." she gasped, "that was... my mother..."

Kazuma was only staring blankly at the broken building, too emotionally anguished to even do anything aside from sitting there on his knees in Suoh's arms, trembling as the tears continued to fall. Suoh turned a glare up to Breaker, refusing to let Kazuma go, but unable to run with him in that condition.

He removed three more kunai just as Saghid approached with his own digimon partner. He charged them with digisoul and threw them at the attacking maw, intending to hit the underside of his open mouth.

"Saghid! Get Kazuma out of here!"

He didn't want to leave Suoh...but he was in much better shape than the other boy who was staring into the rubble. Grabbing the edge of Kazuma's sleeve, Saghid began to yank him away from the battle.

"Get on, or get dead." He said gruffly, again wondering why the hell he was helping so many humans.

Sadamitsu had come to Axoryi to pick up some supplies for the Hyperion from a local digimon, having offered to go instead of Lorne, since he was going out to get groceries anyway and figured he could just shop in Axoryi at the same time. He didn't notice Paulo's post, but he did notice the sound of a building collapsing somewhere nearby as he was approaching the lightpost to return home. He took off running, grabbing Kulon off the ground in one hand and slamming Junk on his head with the other. The white Material Guard armor formed in a flash of light and he charged down the street as fast as he could
