Good news everyone, I had my laryngologist appointment today and it went well. First of all, I've got to tell you how freaking weird it is to have a tiny camera on a long tube put up your nose and down your throat. I've had the camera thing, but they put it down my mouth not my nose. Which is terrible in my opinion. I think it's because they couldn't get it down my nose.

Anyway, I'm glad you are ok. If you need help with the GERD diet or advice on proton pump inhibitors, I've been on them for 5 years now and can really give you the run down. :)

Oh, and the really bad news...losing weight is also helpful for stopping reflux. I keep trying but I get stuck at the same weight every time. :(

Thanks! I have LPR, not GERD, but I imagine they are similar...as most websites link them together. But anyhooooo...yeah, I'm on Protonix, which is doing it's thing so far. It's funny because I never would have thought i had reflux of any kind, never complained of it, never had heartburn, nothing, and now that i'm on this, I can notice a difference. Interesting. I'm sure that I'll be able to lose some weight since I had to cut out some stuff, most of the things that are my weaknesses (chocolate, soda, fried food). BUt, so far, so good. We shall see.

How's Ellie? Do an update please. :-)

Ellie is doing great, thanks for asking. I'll be posting an update next Wednesday, when we get back from our Dr's appointment. It's hard to do this in a library with a baby though, so if it takes a few days, don't be surprised!!! :)

Hopefully I'll be able to post more regularly, seeing that on Mondays and Fridays I'll be watching my nephew (as well as Ellie) over at my sis-in-law's apartment, which DOES have internet. Hey, they both nap...hopefully they both do it at the same time sometimes. :)
