Good news everyone, I had my laryngologist appointment today and it went well. First of all, I've got to tell you how freaking weird it is to have a tiny camera on a long tube put up your nose and down your throat. They gave me a picture of my vocal cords, which if you've never seen them, sort of resemble a vagina. hahahaha. But anyhooo....so after looking at them and making me sing with this thing in my throat, they determined that there is nothing major going on down there. They noticed an excess of mucous on the cords, which they attribute to some kind of reflux. So, I had to fill a goddamn prescription ($50) for a Proton Pump Inhibitor that will stop my stomach from producing acid. And I also have to change my diet somewhat...stop drinking caffeine, alcohol, stop eating chocolate, spicy foods, citris fruits. Wah. I'm sad about that stuff, but happy because it's not nodes or anything like that.
Andrew and I opened a checking account together...we got our checks today...with our names on them. Tee hee. How cute.
