A new series, and a promise.

First the promise. I have decided to do something about my utter uselessness, and shall be attempting to get myself a job over the next couple of weeks. I'm guessing I shall be doing something office or retail related, so be prepared for a multitude of compliants about sore feet, grumpy bosses and evil coworkers or customers. However, I am ( Read more... )

I've just watched the first ep, and I agree with you, and not your dad. I've made my dad promise to dvd them for me when I'm back at uni.

Also, *fingers crossed* that the job hunt goes well. I'll be thinking of you.

It was sooooooooooooooooo cool! I've seen virtually nothing of Spooks for quite some time, due to university, but it didn't seem OTT to me - horribly plausible was more like it. I was lucky I caught the last one of the last series on BBC Three the other night otherwise I would've been rather confused; as it was, I LOVED IT and can't wait for tonight's second part!!!

I know. I always get excited about spooks - being the spy-fangirl that I am - but this series looks like it's going to be something special.

Is it the 3rd? I thought it was the 4th, but then I was almost convinced that they'd sneaked another one through a while back on one of the cable/digital channels as I saw snippets of episodes I'd not seen.

I agree with you about this series, and most, if not all, of your predictions. I was very happy to see Hermione Norris (*swoon*). Yes I think she's bloody gorgeous, but she's also a brilliant actor/actress in my opinion.

Jo/Mirana Raison is also very lovely, but I'm not sure either will ever replace the lovely Zoe/Keeley Hawes.

Ok, I think I'll stop now.. maybe I should've written all this in my own LJ :-o

It's the fifth series of spooks. But it was third in the list of things I wanted to talk about.

*grin* S'ok, everyone makes mistakes, and my wording was a bit ambiguous. So I've changed it and it's now obvious.

Missing the first series of Spooks isn't so much the bad thing - they've changed almost the entire cast since then, and therefore the inter-relationships of the characters don't carry over through the series. Missing the first episode is somewhat more important, although not that bad - since it tends to deal with one issue in each episode. So if you were to start watching next Monday, you'd probably be able to keep up. I don't know about the DVDs. I know some people who like watching them over and over, but I've never had the opportunity, so it's possible my love of the series comes from seeing the episodes once, and have to remember everything!

Looks like some of your predictions were absolutely spot-on.

I'm really worried for Ruth - she's the character I identify most with (though I don't go for older men) and I hope she survives the season.
