A new series, and a promise.

First the promise. I have decided to do something about my utter uselessness, and shall be attempting to get myself a job over the next couple of weeks. I'm guessing I shall be doing something office or retail related, so be prepared for a multitude of compliants about sore feet, grumpy bosses and evil coworkers or customers. However, I am determined to make my bank account more healthy than it is, and get myself enough money to learn to drive (and therefore do things on my own terms, rather than relying on others).

Second - Well done Arsenal - that result should give us some hope for the future. Although we shouldn't be getting penalties saved, and Lehmann should not allow himself to do things that let him get booked in the first few minutes. However, we won, and those three points will help. A lot.

Third - The new series of Spooks....
This series promises to be as exciting and fast paced as all the others have been. Adam - having been shot and recovered in the first two minutes of the episode is looking just as delightful and sophisticated as ever, and in my opinion is even more tasty that he was last series (I know many may not agree). Of course he's not just there to be pretty, he also gets to make the plot work for the episode. I know I won't be missing tomorrows, or any of the following episodes. My father disagrees - he thinks they've taken it to extreme lengths. However I think they're just doing the same as they did in the previous series with the explosion of a dirty bomb in parliament square in series 2. They know what the extremes are, and research which are the most unlikely and head for that, so they don't fly too close to reality with thier episodes. I have a couple of predictions for the new series. One - Ros will end up working (at least for a short time) for MI5 instead of MI6, if not as a double agent to bring down the conpiracy against the government, then as an ordinary agent against the normal bad guys after the government has been sorted out. The killing of Juliette (possibly - in that they haven't actually said she's dead yet) and Colin were obviously necessary, the actors obviously didn't want to make another series with the Spooks crew. How they'll replace them I don't know, but I don't see any changes happening in the current deployment, Harry is good as he is, and all the other characters are too good at their jobs to be moved about. Jo seems to be flourishing (check out the cool kick ass moves she pulled on the bad MI6 guys) and I like that they had her looking after the Prime Minister's son (Rowan - any closer to the actual Prime Minister's son's name and they might have been sued!).

I'm going to stop now. Otherwise I might just make a prediction that I'm not sure about - and look silly!

I was going to do a bit extra about my life at the moment, but I'm not sure what to say really so I'm going to leave it there.

ETA - New icon because of Spooks. However there is one photo on the internet of Adam, and it's the BBC stock photo, so I'm going to have to do some searching & scanning to get a decent one. This'll do for now though.
