Beyond Description

I was digging through some of my (not so) old records last night, seperating the ones I wanted to keep from the ones I was going to rid of. I found some of the Regan Era HC bootlegs 7"s that had some cool records from bands like Koro, Genetic Control, and Neon Christ. But I also found my Beyond Description records. I have a 7" and two LPs by them

While not my favourite Japanese hardcore band, Beyond Description aren't too bad. I have the "Fine Day Nostalgia" and "More Power To Your Elbow" 7"s as well as split 7"s with Absconded, Boot Down The Door, Kontatto and Kontrovers. I also have video of them playing and the singer is wearing a Chokehold shirt which kinda surprised me.

You should check out their LPs, they are both in print and probably their best material. They seem to be pretty active and in contact with alot of bands and people outside of Japan long before similar bands there did. But still, Chokehold you say? That is a bit odd.

I generally buy most Japanese records if I see them in person so chances are I'll own the LPs at some point. I rarely order from there anymore though since postage has become so pricey for overseas stuff nowadays.

I live in the area that Chokehold hails from it's rare to see one of their shirts here, let alone in Japan.
