[Have a rather awkward looking but imposing figure on the feed.]So... I've noticed a lot of new faces around here and I figured, if we're going to be fighting together, might as well get to know each other a bit better

[ Awkward Chris? Meet a slightly conflicted Tifa. ] Allies or not, I don't think mentioning your name would've stopped either of them from taking the Crystal for Chaos.

Oh... that was them, huh? I tried stopping them too... but... it's... complicated. Apparently, when we won last time, Chaos was pretty pissed... and took it out on them.

Normally, she wouldn't really be the sort to barge in on a stranger's post/message/etc, but Tifa was there when Jill and Billy took the Crystal. So you can't really blame her for saying something. ] Yeah, it was them. [ Because his description definitely sounded like the woman she fought against in the final moments of the last battle. ] ...I was there.

[ A flash of guilt moves across her face before it melts away to a calmed neutrality. He doesn't need to be burdened with her troubles. ]

And I heard that too. [ Because though she doesn't respond to most of the things people say in her crystal, she listens to most of them all the same. ] Still, I don't think it would've made a difference, the name thing.

[He sighs and runs his hands through his hair. It's pretty obvious he doesn't approve of what they did, but understands why.]

In the battle, they kind of revert to a soldier mentality. It's easier to deal with some of the stuff we've seen if we kind of detach from ourselves... to them, it was a mission. They were trained to do what it takes to complete their missions, and... in a way, I'm kind of proud of 'em. No offense.

Still, neither of them want any unnecessary bloodshed. I mean, you're no worse for wear really, are you? I can't see either of them really taking a shot at you...

[Chris hangs his head a bit, obviously troubled by all this. He doesn't know much about Tifa, but knowing that she was able to access the video through the filter was something. Cosmos had trusted her at least on some level, so that had to be something right? So, Chris fiddles with the crystal for a second, adding an extra filter to talk with just her listening.]

I wish I could've done something to stop all this... but... after encountering them on my way toward their crystal... they knocked me out before I could knock them out. But please... I don't want anyone to hold a grudge against them...

Jill and I have been partners for well over ten years. I trust her with my life... and... [He pauses to sigh, preparing himself to say something he's only ever admitted to his sister.]

...I love her...

She's been through so much Hell... and this... watching her beat herself up over all this fighting is just... unbearable...

Thanks... I wish I could figure out some way to get our friends out from under Chaos, but, for now I guess we have to trust that they're taking care of themselves.

I just realized... I don't even know your name. If nothing else, we can look out for each other, right?

[ They can take care of themselves, she knows. But it doesn't take away from the worry. Tifa knows that, and she has a feeling Chris does too. As for the cut, they were talking about Jill's role in Chaos capturing the crystal before so there was a better chance of him making the connection then. So she's a bit more relaxed about it now.

...Made apparent by her smile. Doesn't she have a pretty smile? I think so. ] You too, Chris. And if it's not in the middle of another battle, I promise not to attack the next time I see them.

Just know, when it comes to protecting the Crystal, all bets are off. [ It feels... really harsh and unforgiving to say so, and she can't help being slightly upset at having to say it. But it's true. Friend or not, she's not going to just step aside and let anyone take it for Chaos without a fight. ] Otherwise I'd be glad to count her as a friend. And from what you've told me of her, I'm sure she'll agree with me.

[ Isn't really too sure, but she's assuming. ]

She would. You're a lot like her really, just from the vibe I've gotten over the crystals... I can tell you've got a good heart...

[ Congrats, Chris, you managed to make her smile at that last bit, even just a little. She's never experienced it back in her home world, but Tifa's met quite a few good people here. And it's never fun finding out that you have to battle against a friend.

But she does have experience in dealing with someone who has a tendency to doubt themselves. And there's no better catalyst for doubt than being chosen by the God of Discord. ] ...You should tell her that. I've a feeling she needs to hear it every once in a while. Especially if she was chosen for Chaos.

[Chris kind of blinks, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly for a moment. If Tifa's saying what he thinks she's saying then, he really doesn't have a good argument for not telling Jill... but he's going to feign ignorance for now, in an attempt to buy his mind some time to make something up or the like.]

Tell her what? She knows I've got her back... after everything we've been through it's kind of unspoken...
