[Have a rather awkward looking but imposing figure on the feed.]So... I've noticed a lot of new faces around here and I figured, if we're going to be fighting together, might as well get to know each other a bit better

[ Gently shakes her head. ] I don't hold a grudge. [ She's had a history with grudges, a nasty one. And in her experience, they never turn out good. So you can bet she won't have one if she can help it, unless there's dire circumstances. ] They were doing what they had to, like you said. What... they were trained to do. I can't blame them for that. For whatever reason, Chaos chose them. Just like Cosmos chose us. We can't change that.

[ Similar situations? I think so... Well, it would be if we still had a Cloud, but this mun's running with it anyways. And with that, Tifa's eyes are solemn when she speaks again. ] It's a difficult thing, finding out you and those you care about are fighting on opposite sides.

Thanks... I wish I could figure out some way to get our friends out from under Chaos, but, for now I guess we have to trust that they're taking care of themselves.

The Gods have made their decisions, I don't think there's any changing that without more consequences. [ Despite saying that though, she's certainly not gonna give up looking for ways or loopholes. Friends should never fight against friends. ] They're safe, for now, at least.

[ From personal experience, Jill can definitely handle herself, especially if the other one - Billy was it? - was beside her. And she knows Cloud can take care of himself. So she'll just quietly deal until they meet face to face.

Her head jerks up curiously and possibly in that moment of forgetfulness, he might see the cut on her cheek in a 'hm?' sort of fashion before his words register. Oh, that's right, he mentioned his name but she hadn't given hers. ] Sorry. I'm Tifa. Tifa Lockhart.

[ They can take care of themselves, she knows. But it doesn't take away from the worry. Tifa knows that, and she has a feeling Chris does too. As for the cut, they were talking about Jill's role in Chaos capturing the crystal before so there was a better chance of him making the connection then. So she's a bit more relaxed about it now.

...Made apparent by her smile. Doesn't she have a pretty smile? I think so. ] You too, Chris. And if it's not in the middle of another battle, I promise not to attack the next time I see them.

Just know, when it comes to protecting the Crystal, all bets are off. [ It feels... really harsh and unforgiving to say so, and she can't help being slightly upset at having to say it. But it's true. Friend or not, she's not going to just step aside and let anyone take it for Chaos without a fight. ] Otherwise I'd be glad to count her as a friend. And from what you've told me of her, I'm sure she'll agree with me.

[ Isn't really too sure, but she's assuming. ]

She would. You're a lot like her really, just from the vibe I've gotten over the crystals... I can tell you've got a good heart...

[ Congrats, Chris, you managed to make her smile at that last bit, even just a little. She's never experienced it back in her home world, but Tifa's met quite a few good people here. And it's never fun finding out that you have to battle against a friend.

But she does have experience in dealing with someone who has a tendency to doubt themselves. And there's no better catalyst for doubt than being chosen by the God of Discord. ] ...You should tell her that. I've a feeling she needs to hear it every once in a while. Especially if she was chosen for Chaos.

[Chris kind of blinks, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly for a moment. If Tifa's saying what he thinks she's saying then, he really doesn't have a good argument for not telling Jill... but he's going to feign ignorance for now, in an attempt to buy his mind some time to make something up or the like.]

Tell her what? She knows I've got her back... after everything we've been through it's kind of unspoken...

[ He gets a knowing smile in return. Ah, yes. Emotionally closed-off males... with nervous ticks that say everything a person needs to know without uttering a word (as long as they know where to look). It's almost like she's back home again. Granted, he's a bit more talkative than Vincent or Cloud. But the mannerisms are similar when they get on a particular subject. ] Sometimes, even when things don't need to be said... it'd still be nice to hear it.
