[ooc: This is what Kefka-mun wanted for Terra, so...]Terra slowly surfaced to consciousness, as though knowing that her fate upon awakening would not be pleasant. A soft moan escaped her lips, her head aching something fierce. After a moment, she began to remember why; a deep voice, a sudden, powerful blast...and then nothing, until now ( ... )

Kefka was watching in glee from behind the glass, quivering in anticipation. He fought to stifle a giggle as he watched his new pet come to. It was after the suppression system proved to still be operational that he stopped trying to control himself. With a tap on the glass, he announced his presence.

"Well well~! You liking your new cage, my little canary~?"

[ooc: Dooku's welcome to join in, too, if he wants.]

Upon hearing that very familiar voice, Terra froze. She had hoped he wouldn't have a hand in this, but of course that was true. The tube was just the sort of thing he would think up. She backed away, flattening herself against the opposite wall of the tube. If only there was a means to break free...but she saw none, for the time being. Kefka had chosen her prison well.

"Kefka! What do you want with me?!"

Dooku did not truly trust Kefka, especially not to show enough restraint to avoid inflaming Cosmos, so he was lurking in the shadows behind the clown as he played with his prize. He is clearly a sadist, he thought. And difficult to control. I shall have to be careful. This was also an opportunity to find out something as to exactly why Kefka was so fixated on this woman.

"Why, to unleash the power dormant within you, of course~! You're the embodiment of destruction, and Cosmos is unworthy of your talents..."

Kefka knew Dooku was probably watching, but frankly, he didn't care. He was too busy floating around the top of the tube, flipping switches and pressing buttons. He had to make sure that the prison would withstand his 'prodding' after all. Once satisfied he grinned as he floated upside down, on eye level with Terra.

"I'll give you one chance to join us willingly, dear."

As frightened and out of options as she was, Terra shook her head. She knew what would likely happen upon refusal, but would never willingly submit to that. "No! I don't want to destroy anything! I'm not like you!"

"Now, my dear, let us not make rash proclamations. Everyone is willing to destroy something," Dooku said. "For example, surely you would not mind destroying Kefka, would you?"

He's being helpful Kefka! Honest!

Kefka rolled his eyes at Dooku. That wasn't really necessary now was it? Regardless, he had a point. Kefka just kept grinning, placing a palm on the glass separating himself and Terra.

"Oh but you are, Terra. Do you not remember how you killed hundreds of Imperial soldiers? Soldiers that were simply following orders, believing that they were doing what was best for their nation, their families, their world? What of the Magitek Armor pilots that pursued you at Figaro? They had families, one had five children, the other was supporting an elderly mother that later died a painful death because she could no longer afford medications with her son killed by your hands ( ... )

When Dooku spoke, Terra stared at him warily before shaking her head. "I will if I have to, but I don't like the thought of killing anyone, even--"

Terra stared at Kefka blankly at first, given that she had so very little in the way of memories about her home world and what happened there. It didn't take long for her to shrink back in horror at Kefka's words. Even if he was just trying to rile her up -not difficult- what he said didn't exactly contradict what Celes had explained earlier.

The more he spoke, the more Terra just kept shaking her head until finally she couldn't bear it anymore. "No! That's not my true nature, no matter how much you want it to be! I won't give into anything you want!" She would rather die first...and as that thought emerged, Terra realized it might come to that. Still, better death than harming her friends ever again.

"You are in an impossible position, my Lady," Dooku said, slipping into the role of 'good cop', or at least 'less psychopathically-evil cop.' "You must realize that he will never leave you alone as long as both of you still live. But to be free of him, you must give into your anger and strike him down, becoming what he sees you as. But would that truly be such a terrible thing?" He came closer to the tube, his face staying in the shadows. "Is it not natural to react to such treatment with anger? After all he has done to you and others, would it not be simply correct to feel hate, and to act on that hate? There truly is no other choice."
