This time another hand-painted sign is displayed on the sandwich board beside him: Anti-Strangeling Charms it reads, beside it a crude painting of a lanky humanoid figure with a red circle and line crossing it out.

Occasional curiousity lead Axel to see Facilier's little kiosk and wonder exactly what the hell is going on.

[Facilier's smile cools, but he takes the jab at his income in stride.]

[Aladdin, reading in the shade of a tree on the other side of the quad, might not have noticed Facilier's display yet, but Abu certainly had. The hairy little thief couldn't help himself. His curiosity and his eye for shiny objects of any sort had got the better of him.

Stealthily, but possibly not stealthily enough to avoid the attention of the good doctor, the monkey crept up the side of the table and reached out a paw.]

Hey! [Facilier spots Abu at once and raps the monkey on the head with his cane.] Paws off, y'hear?

[As Abu made a noise that sounded rather like 'who, me?', Aladdin jumped to his feet to grab his friend before he could cause any more trouble.]

[He gave Facilier a sheepish smile.]

I'm sorry about him. He can't help himself.

[Facilier gives the monkey a disapproving glare, then relents. No harm done... provided none of his stock is missing.]

Thievin' instincts, huh? I'll be careful 'round this little guy.

Elisa crossed the quad to get a closer look, torn between curiousity and wariness. It was her job to protect - or try to protect, against increasingly impossible odds - the people of the Academy from any danger that threatened them. Including seemingly benevolent staff members and their magic jewellery.]
