Pathos and snowflakes, but we get a happy ending. The images of the paper snowflakes in the story are lovely, both as they're made and afterwards. And I like the circularity of both men making snowflakes while waiting, to keep their hands occupied. And what a terrific photo to accompany this!

This is really quite lovely, from that opening, gorgeous image, to Bodie making his own snowflakes in the hospital. You've said so much in so very few words.
