Discovered when you see this: Raid, by moonlightmead

So byslantedlight mentioned the arrival of the new challenge, and I was looking at the old challenge again, and I finally had an idea. So, in great haste, before the challenge closes, 5000 words of public indecency. I know, I am the first to say "No sane government employee would risk their career and reputation like this." But apparently they are going to ( Read more... )

Fantastic! So pleased to see it here! I loved the pace of it and the humour. I rather like a doped-up Doyle and I enjoyed Bodie's thoughts as he tried to control a Doyle he's obviously never met before. Makes you wonder where they go from here ;)

Thanks! Yes, definitely Bodie didn't expect any of that. Glad the pacing worked. It's something I have problems with.

Well, I'm about to go out and shovel snow. But I shall stay entertained by the image of a high Doyle and a trying-to-cope Bodie. *g* (It also felt, um, Chrstmassy to me, but that's likely down to the snow. *g*) Thank you! Very entertaining. And, yes, what murphybabe said about wondering what happens next with them!

Christmassy? I imagine it as summer, but now you have me thinking I should have kept this and posted it in the Christmas Pros thing. Bugger.

Glad it entertained - thanks!

No sane government employee would risk their career and reputation like this."

Oh, they would, they would! The way you've written this makes it completely believable.

Leaning against the wall, Bodie watched: a blasé and solitary tough. The party pulsed and swirled around them.

That's Bodie to a tee, I love the way you've summed him up.

Great writing! Many thanks for this Sunday treat.

"Oh, they would, they would!" - well, they do in my head, at least.

Thanks a lot. It was a lot of fun to write.

I admit a fondness for a loopy Doyle. This was fun. Bodie got what he wanted after all, and Doyle was more than happy to provide it. Thanks!
