(Written, ohh, last week sometime. Why do I post hardly anything I write?)Adam's in New York this week for workish purposes. I had originally planned on joining him, but since I'm trying to pay off my student loan by May, and since I'm also loading up my savings account in anticipation of us moving in June, I decided not to go. No way! Okay, besides Adam's coffee obsession, that's one very big reason that he and I need to make a pilgrimage to Seattle as soon as possible.

Hopefully somewhere FAR FAR AWAY (okay, not THAT far. Up the coast. The name of the city is in the entry! I just hate jinxing stuff)! But our apartment lease is up in June, and we're sick to death of the complex and will be outta here no matter if our out-of-state move has worked out by then or not.

Yes! The move is pretty much dependent on Adam's job situation, so it's up to me to just sit back, save money, and keep my fingers crossed.

Oh my goodness, Kinokuniya. They have pretty paper, yes, but also the most amazing selection of (expensive) pens. I love that place.

And if you move to the place that must not be named, maybe we'll be neighbors! If I ever get my ass out of DC, that is.

I'm not an impulse-buy kind of girl, but COOL PENS are one of my downfalls. Oh no!

You and I are in similar situations in terms of moving to [unnamed place]. Significant others, pet(s), a couple years of post-college furniture and other stuff to bring along, cars to sell, etc. So much of the advice I've read about moving there is directed toward unattached folk with disposable furniture who can just hop a Greyhound and get a sublet through Craigslist. But for Adam and me it will be a huge undertaking. I think it will be worth it, though. I hope you wind up there, too!

NO KIDDING. I always tell people how hard it will be to retrain Wallace to pee on pavement. :) Of course, there's grass and parks and lots of dog runs, ummm, THERE, in many places. But I like to exaggerate.
