This is Random Question 2: Is Bill Watterson dead? I told somebody he was dead (cancer) but I can't find any reference to his death on the InterWeb. Care to give me a lead?

Nope. Just retired.

I thought he retired because he had cancer and that he died shortly after. Now I think I confused him with Charles Schulz of Peanuts fame.

Yup -- Watterson retired because he felt he'd told all the stories he needed to, and was a bit burnt out with the industry.
