OK, admittedly I haven't been on here for a while, but who did give the keys of LJ to the Russians? The barbarians with their silly hieroglyphs seem to be about everywhere those days. Is there a way I can limit LJ to showing me posts only in the good old Latin alphabet? I am truly not interested at all in anything that happens in Putinland.

The banality of anti-semitism in present day Germany
I am spending a bit of time in Germany. Before coming, I was assured that the German were really over their anti-Semitism. Far from it! While speaking about Israel, the Jews or the Holocaust is a big taboo in Germany, Germans are really not shy about expressing their prejudices against the Jews once you get to know them individually.
