Donatello jolted and then found himself giving a shaky laugh. For a moment, he had almost forgotten how Master Splinter could always sense him and his brothers. It.. was a welcome change.

The turtle went to slide the door open--no, not home, Discedo--and put his hand on the doorknob, turning it slowly and opening the door.

Splinter would need sliding doors again, here. Or, door. There.. really wasn't room for two? But those were thoughts for another time. Now, it was about that future that would never come to be in their world.

Donatello walked in and closed the door behind him, silently padding over to Master Splinter and sitting on his kneels in front of him. It.. was familiar. Comforting. He lowered his gaze a bit as a sign of respect.

"May I speak with you, Master Splinter?" Donatello asked, his voice quiet.

/TELL ME ABOUT IT.

"I know.. that it is not safe for us to speak about what happens in each other's futures, but...."

He lowers his head some more. "I-I am trying to... work through something that happened. And I need your help. I've been speaking to my brothers about it, and have made significant progress, but... I need you as well."

Donatello's quiet for a long moment, then looks up at Splinter to meet his gaze. "Can I show you what I've already told them? I kept it locked away on the network so that I only had to say it once."
