Where: The Library
When: Less than half an hour after Kai's death on Jan. 24th
Rating: PG-13ish for Flandre and half of a bad end maybe.

"Miss Flandre!" Patchy shouted the moment she walked into the door.

She ran to the percieved poor girl, and quickly muttered a few spells that would at least lift her off the ground.

"You're alright. Thank goodness. What happened?"

Flandre was about as resistant as a ragdoll--which was to say, not very. Some of the spells seemed to slip off, however, and they didn't quite pick her up as much as they should have.

"Yes, I--guess."

She stood up, now, and clumsily clung to Patchouli--both to maintain the deception of being frightened, and so that her leg wouldn't collapse.

"There was...there was a monster, when Bakura and Cirno and I were walking home. It--it knocked me to the side, into the sun, and threw the blanket in Cirno's face, and ran after Bakura into a building and--"

"--and--"

Her voice becomes quiet.

"...and...I ran away."

"...Miss Flandre" she said, quietly.

Sometimes she had trouble believing that this poor girl was the monster in the basement. Or was it the other away around?

Flandre wouldn't meet Patchouli's gaze; instead, staring at the floor. Her voice is just as quiet.

"I could have...I could have broken it. Chased it away. Done...done something."

This burn was really starting to hurt now--but she didn't let it creep into her voice. She did shift her weight off of it a little bit.

"...but I can't do anything. It might have killed Bakura. And Cirno. And...me. Or in some other order, or--"

Her ramble cuts off abruptly with a shiver.
