- Well, idiots are idiots are idiots. He'd shaken himself out of it as fast as he could, having work to do, and had been throwing himself into the last minute cooking and arranging with furious concentration. He was finally finished - for now, until it ran out and he had to refill the platters - and had emerged from the back to join in the party. Sure, he was quieter than he normally would have been... but who wasn't?

He decided to concentrate on the kids being cute and on not tripping over his costume.
"Your Lord has arrived, Shinji."

Damn. That joke went pretty far..
He smirked down at the kiddies before reaching behind the bar, and grasping a huge basket full of candy.
"C'mon. Say the magic words.." He'd dangle it over their smaller heads.

"I brought you a pumpkin. That's all I got."

In truth, she felt more comfortable acting as a guard than attempting to relax, and it was for her own reassurance more than anyone else's that she took up the duty. Always needing to do something, even in times when the labours of others have ceased, Arturia could never completely lower her guard. This evening was no different than any other.

She wasn't sure of herself. She didn't know what to say, or do, or how - or really, even if she was wanted. And that was forgetting the language barrier. But then again... when had she ever hesitated? Right! Never! So - so...
So... she slowly approached the spot Johnny was sitting at, rehearsing what she wanted to say. It wasn't much but she didn't exactly speak much English... "Hello," she said, nervous, like she was reciting a lesson, painfully aware of how strong her accent must be. "How - are... you?"

"Getting better," he lied, trying a smile. "She'll be at the hospital tomorrow."

He arrived in a sheet with holes in it. It seemed appropriate to dress up in costumes and that was the simplest one to do, and fit him. Though he was dressed up as one, it didn't help him when walking through the city, the city was still more frightening then he was.

After several minutes of awkward silence he chose a shrug. It was the best he could do, and wasn't exactly recognizable from under the sheet. It looked more like a funny shuffle or weird movement.
"I guess," he said softly pausing a moment. "Happy Halloween," his tone was meek and he sounded like the sort to be easily bossed around.
