Jackie and Nani had herded some of Discedo's children around for trick-or-treating. It vaguely occurred to him that if it was the end of October already, November would be coming up -

He decided to concentrate on the kids being cute and on not tripping over his costume.

"Your Lord has arrived, Shinji."

Despite his gloomy mood, a snicker caught in his throat when 'faux jesus' walked into the bar, a crowd of children at his less-than-holy heels.

Damn. That joke went pretty far..

He smirked down at the kiddies before reaching behind the bar, and grasping a huge basket full of candy.

"C'mon. Say the magic words.." He'd dangle it over their smaller heads.

And then, to Jackie. "Where the hell's my green wine?"

"Your green wine is not here til I get my Jesusly powers back," he replied, smiling. It was nice to smile, and see other people smiling. The last few days had had their share of shitty situations - but why let life beat the crap out of them? He was gonna live it up. Live for her.

"You'd better deliver on that." A smirk ghosted onto his face--not a genuine smile, but he couldn't force one at the moment. Still--looking around at the people, he felt a quiet confidence in his decision to keep the party going.

"And then you will erect a shrine in my honor. Make it sparkly." He handed over the jack-o-lantern (in, as promised, the shape of Shinji's face) and glanced over at the food. "What's the best...?"

Nani arrived at the back of the 'herd' too, a 'ghost' bedsheet serving as efficient Toga dress material...tied decidedly modest, compared to the conventional college campus sort.

Lilo and Marlene were her main charges, but the other kids did great with their candy haul too. After hearing about the murder, she was eager to keep it hushed from the kids so as to not spoil things, and planned to keep things running just as planned...

The bar, after all, would be the most crowded and well guarded and therefore there was nowhere else in the city at the moment that felt safer. She'd be able to find more adults to walk the girls back to Horton with after they'd had a little dinner, too.

"Wow, just look at this place!" She smiled across the bar, leaning over with a grin. For once, Discedo's makeshift holiday had been actually quite fun. "You've really pulled it together! (Me and my girl'sll take Hot Chocolates to start, please?)"
