At this point, I doubt it's any surprise that I came close to flailing when I saw this on my flist (or that this comment got long and a little rambly). Ugh, I will never tire of reading from this 'verse. Never ever.
This was kind of absurdly hot. In that way where it's not the immediately sexual (towards the end) that does it... it's the scene itself. The whole thing was just thrumming with energy. I think my heart is pounding a little harder than it was before, no lie.
One of my favorite things with this 'verse continues to be that it's so much more than sex. It's more than the scenes, which are in and of themselves about more than sex. There's a real and complex relationship here, and there's an amazing (and unfortunately somewhat uncommon in fic) acknowledgement of everything that has to happen for things to stay safe (and sane, and consensual). I love that they talk about it over tea, that Brendon's clear about needing more time and that Spencer respects that. Even moreso, I love that those parts are in this, that you don't

I was talking online with Jen when you commented, and I sent her the link and she and I went back and forth for a few minutes about, "Man, I really love her," "I love her tooooooo," "She always leaves the best comments," "She's so awesome." So. ♥. We appreciate youuuuuuu!
It's totally more than just sex with them! They are MFEO and just-- wow. I could seriously ramble about their epic lovestory such a long time (I have rambled about it for such a long time).

And then they're good to go. Well. Yeah, knowing you can make someone stop is a good thing. But, there's so much else that people need to talk about first. Normally in stories I'm all, bah, people shouldn't talk about their feelings! What's that going to accomplish? But, with this

I am totally grinning and blushing right now, gracious.
There is definitely not enough talking in kink-fic; having the characters sit down beforehand to really navigate what they want, what they need, and how it's all going to work. And for me, apart from the fact that it makes me feel more at ease on behalf of the characters, it's also just something I want to hear about. The way they handle that part can be very telling of them and their relationship, and it's also the thing where anticipation is a turn-on. I don't know, maybe I'm in the minority wanting to hear about prep, but... *hands*
i told you this in person, but i'd be pretty happy to read stories from this universe, oh, forever. i really really really like how it dealt with the change in roles--it wasn't this strict reversal, really, but one that was appropriate to how spencer and brendon are as individuals and to each other. and um, it was also super-hot. i liked that too. ♥ ♥ ♥
This was the story I told you about! See! I did post it, eventually.
Yeah, I don't think it was actually much of a reversal of roles either. Since, you know. Neither of them are actually switches. But, yay! for trying out new things.
hot damn. really, just hot damn. the dynamic they have going [the giving and the taking, and the giving and the taking] makes me all melty, because they are just so perfect for each other. and even the little details are amazing. they keep their sex toys in a box in the closet!
Embrace the shame! That's what I did. (That's kind of a lie though, because I never really felt ashamed. I just stalked Jen for a really long time. \o/)
Thank you! I'm totally in love with this Spencer/Brendon, too. Like they are in love with each other!!!
