Two new paintings! Woohoo!

Holy shit! It's been ages since Disanthus was last updated (or this LJ, for that matter) with a new artwork. And now there are two of 'em. Heh. A Resident Evil fan art and an original art.

I think - like all your work - this is just outspokenly grand. It's almost worth creating something famous just in the hopes that you guys will do some fan art for it ^_^

I look forward to more and don't worry, you're stuff is always worth the wait.

Thanks! This was one of those rare times where the 'wait' was actually longer than my usual time-off from doing artworks. I guess I just felt totally uninspired for a long time, that, and getting used to my new Painter. Heh, I was wondering whether anyone would comment a non-Potter artwork ^^ So thanks for dropping by.

Don't get me wrong, I love your HP fan art since I'm a huge fan of the series but all your work looks brilliant - Potter or no Potter. Some of your original, non-fan art is your best.

Forgive me for gushing, but I used to draw, paint, and all that. It was okay but let's just say I would be a starving artist if I tried to make a career out of it :) My craft of choice is writing now (Fantasy, usually) and I've even got a publishing house looking at the first book in a series I wrote. I hope that, someday, I'll be in a position to hire you to do cover art for my novels but, in the mean time, I really wish you all the luck with your art and hope you find inspiration in the most unlikely places.

The blood is so realistic looking, very well done. I like the backgrounds on both of them as well. I'm just wondering how long it took you to put all those folds in the kimono, its so flowy, amazing!

The folds took surprisingly little time to paint, the background of Red Queen however... Also, heavy silk kimono doesn't have folds like that (if you look closely on the larger version - you can see that it's embroidered silk), but it looked really stiff and boring.

As for Leon, he looks best with Matilda and blood ^^;

By the by, I'm still going to make a doodle for you! Any particular character?
