by way of apology for the inbox rape that ensued here - which i in absolutely no way was a part of, i assure you - i shall place a real comment here.

first off? the incredibly appropriate music and lyrics. brilliant selection, really, with the way Billy Boyd's voice brings such a beautiful, almost ethereal and effervescent quality to it. but imagining it sung by Lilo in this comic? truly heartbreaking. there are few characters and voices who can remake music like this and twist it into their own, and Lilo is one of these rare, precious people. and with Megamind as backup vocals, there can be no wrongs made here. Naima catches that essence perfectly in the imagery here.

which brings me to that: the imagery. the dramatic close ups on each of the characters' faces is executed perfectly. you can not only see but feel the emotion heavy in each image, and especially in both Lilo and Megamind's eyes, particularly when they're watching the silhouetted figures walking by. what's more, the ( ... )
