RDA describes his relationship with the producers of SG-1 as "very Scandinavian. We don't talk much." Jack and Sam are starcrossed because of the regulations. My sense of Mac and Nikki, which comes across well in this piece, is that they are starcrossed because of the boundaries they have placed on themselves. They are "very Scandinavian" with each other, and where Jack and Sam can somehow not-talk and speak volumes, Mac and Nikki not-talk in arguments ("Don't you even, MacGyver!"). I don't think it gets them as far. Maybe they need to sit down and watch some SG-1. Oh wait. Out there in TV land they'd probably have to settle for Wormhole X-treme. Nevermind. Bad example.

Oh no. Certainly not. Although honesty does compel me to point out that I haven't actually watched a MacGyver in rather a while. I own them all now (except the two made-for-TV movies) and somehow that means that on those occasions I do watch them, I watch a few favorites. I do that with the Stargates too. It's part of the reason I love it when they are broadcast. I end up seeing eps that I would otherwise never see.

lol. Yeah. I like when they're on TV, 'cuz I tend to watch my favorites all the time, too. I swear I must have seen "Broca Divide" at least 100 times. :P
