A/N: I intend to write a part 3.5 for what Spock and Uhura got up to during the night, but for now we have pancakes, yoga and the sensual drying of cutlery.

Spock/Uhura is a wonderful pairing, constantly raped by Spock/Kirk fic in which Jim is constantly compared to Uhura. "Oh, Nyota never understood Vulcan hand kissing the way you do." "I was unable to form a bond with Nyota, which is why I'm still gonna die of Pon Farr unless I mate with you"

Just let them be polyamorous or a threesome, or make Spock the bad guy in his relationship with Uhura in order to break them up. Stop turning Uhura into a Mary Sue who couldn't keep Spock interested for long enough ><

I've read good fic that shows some of the Spock-and-Uhura-breaking-up-and-then-Spock-going-for-Kirk thing from Uhura's point of view. And she was all sad because Spock would rather play chess with Jim than follow her to bed, even though Jim was like "uh, maybe you should follow her" - Spock insisted that it was illogical. And we got a flashback as she remembered what they used to be like together (Spock producing an umbrella from nowhere as they were caught in an unexpected sun shower and then kissing her in public) and it was like a realisation from Uhura and the reader that whatever they used to have, their friendship was all that was keeping them together. And later on she breaks up with him and she's really nervous about it and it isn't dismissive of her in any way. And he's all like "oh. Well. OK." and then gets together with Jim.

That's what it should be like.

I wasn't referring to just your Chekov (TOS Chekov is the true shithead).

I merely was stating that you picked up on the same characteristics that I did to support my own theory. And it made it that much more enjoyable for me :)
