+ Rove tonight: How awesome is it that Colin Firth can rattle off an entire LIST of people he'd turn gay for?! Also, I totally have a thing for British guys with squishy tummies at the moment. *melts*

+ This weekend, I read The Host. Y'know, Stephenie Meyer's book that *isn't* about vampires and/or werewolves? I...liked it very much. There were ( Read more... )

I love Colin Firth so much, he was great! Even greyish hair and bushy facial hair can't turn me off him.

After the Twilight series I've had absolutely no desire to read The Host, but if it's not that bad maybe I will give it a go sometime.

Oooh, what song have you been saving? Also, what's going to happen that will make you so inconsolable? :(

It's like there's no possible way Colin Firth can stop being hot, no matter how hard he tries.

The Host is actually based on a really interesting concept, which I could totally immerse myself in. And I'm a sucker of unconventional romance. Worth checking out, I think.

The song is "Space They Cannot Touch", which is pretty much my most treasured love song of all time and it's so honest and pure that it breaks my heart now that it's all but confirmed that Craig is going to come back and Kieron is going to die and JP is going to run off into the sunset with that stupid manipulative little twat when he should be mourning the sweetest, loveliest man to ever exist on this planet. Basically, they're turning a character I love with every fibre of my fannish being into a meaningless plot device. *breathes* I will never, ever learn, huh?

Don't suppose you can remember any of the list? I just... have all kinds of images from that. I do love Colin Firth a ridiculous amount.

*giggles on the Dawson porn thing* Pacey so would make sure of that. Not that I was ever obsessed with DCreek slash...

Basically just his Mama Mia co-stars - Stellan Skarsgård, Pierce Brosnan and Dominic Cooper (but Rove cut him off there, and it sounded like he could have gone on for a while... *g*). Then he talked about Dominic's abs and how the other guys wouldn't let him on their boat because they had a "one pack maximum" rule. He also talked about how fun it was to bitchslap Hugh Grant, and Meryl Streep was completely fascinated with the term.

Hee, I honestly didn't even consider DCreek slash all that often except for the canon characters...but it's nice to learn I have porn STANDARDS now.

The first two most definitely (when I saw Good Will Hunting, years ago, I liked Stellan Skasgaard almost more than Matt and Ben to give you an indication - plus I wanted for the first and last time in my life to slash Robin Williams because his and Stellan's characters were so slashy - I'm not scared but it is a little weird). I must say I didn't think Dominic was anything special, beyond sort of cute.

I like when Colin does that with Hugh. Weirdly enough I don't get the slash vibe from the characters (sometimes enmity is just enmity, I suppose?). I do see Colin/Hugh RPS though ;)

I basically considered Pacey slash with anyone *g* I had a total crush on him. I think too, that Joshua playing a gay character in Cruel Intention had something to do with it. But not really Dawson... I wanted Dawson to end up with Jen if anyone to be honest. I did like Jack and Doug a lot though - they were so cute.

So The Host is worth checking out...Is it worth buying? Or should I borrow from the library?

*drools at thought of Colin Firth with another man*

I was never a Dawson's Creek fan but I think Pacey would definitely take better care of himself & Dawson's arse than that. Glad to hear there are porn standards to be observed *grins*

Hm, I really liked it, but if your library doesn't have too long a waiting list for it, it might be worthwhile reading it that way first. I found it better than the Twilight series, but probably not as addictive. Seriously, those books are crack cocaine.

Hee, porn standards are very important. I betcha Colin Firth would scrub up first!
