Didn't watch all of the Idol performances tonight because the first half hour or so happened to be at the same time as Ben Lee's MAX Sessions set over on pay TV. Ben was AWESOME. OMG, I Have a Bed Made of Buttermilk Pancakes by Jaclyn Moriarty, at only 50 pages in, is so entertaining and squee-worthy that I've decided it's one of those books I'm going to read slowly. Out loud. And giggle and squirm and re-read paragraphs over and over again. I ( Read more... )

So I *am* slowly making my way through the big pile of books by the bed that have bookmarks in the first chapter or so for quite some time. I'm making myself reduce that pile before any kind of fannish reward, though there are some darn tempting books on the shelf right now.
