When I first heard about this Sam Loeb issue, I was so excited because we all know how much I love Conner. And Conner and Tim. And an entire issue devoted to them and their friendship? Bliss! Then, of course, Infinite Crisis happened, and I knew this issue would break my heart. I wasn't wrong. I do think that it was nice that we could mourn Conner

I really liked Hiro and the way Robin and SB were finishing each other's sentences and making little digs at each other ("junior batty" hee!)

The sentence finishing and random insulting goes on throughout the entire book. I loved how I started crying at the start - seeing Tim's little chin crumple when he cried - then was giggling and squeeing during the story, then cried at the end, too. Such a beautiful tribute to such a beautiful friendship.

He's going to be back, though. *nodnodnod* With Tim trying to bring him back with science, and Cassie trying with her cult, and Lex doing...um, *something* Kryptonian, it's only a matter of time. He has to come back and make Cass stop being all evil and out of character, at least. *Someone* has to.

If you can't d'load and read the whole thing, I have the scans here in my scrapbook (starts in the 3rd row down). It's a pain to click on every one a few times to get them to a readable size, though.

I just got a copy of this this week myself--the second printing, I believe (with the variant cover you've got up here). Sigh, if he has to have a send off, yes, this *is* a nice one. I just...don't really have anything to add. The boys! The fembots! The art! Even if Tim looks a little squidgy at times. Conner totally deserves that stunning statue.
