Sure is! You just sign up on the website after Oct 1 and you're set for November.
And having no time is half the fun! It's all in the stress and hair-tearing, I think. *g* Plus, you get to say stuff like, "Terribly sorry I can't go out with you tonight but I have an important novel deadline to meet" and sound all important and stuff. Not that I'd do that, of course. Ahem.
Super Folks is not even a very good novel, imo, but it does have a bit of interest for superhero fans, I think. And it's inspired the NaNo story I'm probably going to go with so there's that. Maybe it's best you *don't* read it...'cause then I can just lift great chunks of plot and you'll never know. *snerk*
And, wah! What am I gonna do without my bestest NaNo buddy this year? Anyway, I don't think I'll have time for the original idea (because it requires far too much research), but I figure fanfic might be doable since the characters' backgrounds etc are already implanted in my brain.

*glares at lyrian*
*chortles* HAHA!
And I'm in for NaNo. I may do abyssmally like I did last year but hey! It gets me writing. (I wonder if I can work on 2 things at once... Does that count..?)

Yay! Someone's in with me!
And I think officially, doing 2 things at once probably wouldn't count (I was looking at doing the same thing), but who are we to do things officially anyway! So long as you're working on *something*, I say it counts.

Well... Maybe if I work on my *trilogy*, not two seperate things. That way I can justify it. Actually, I'm getting into the swing of things by typing up my notes. I figure I can also explore various takes on certain scenes and see which one I like the best. That'll add up the word count. I figure, as long as I'm writing on something, it all counts.
And on the subject of NaNo, it's nearly time to sign up (from Oct 1)! Who's in this year? *raises hand tentatively* I'll have a computer at home by then so I'll be able to do a LOT more writing this year... I've no clue what I'm going to write about yet but hopefully the month leading up to will inspire something... So yeah... I'll be there with ya.
So you can do fanfiction?! Hmm... I was looking to do a long sequel to Journey. Are sequels actually allowed or not because I couldn't find anything on there about it.
I may not be able to do this. I find out today when I start a photography course so we'll see. This looks pretty fun though lol!
Yep, I did fanfiction last year and there are threads in the NaNo boards devoted to it. Sequels would be find, I'd say. So long as it's a 50,000 word story you write all of in one month, I think it officially counts.

I was going to give it a go but I now have zero time. I'll think about it a little more and read some more about it =)

Omg, love! *jots down Super Folks, too*
Who's in this year?
Ugh, I caaan't! I nearly killed myself finishing the BSG/FF story in the midst of everything else, and that's only half the length! Gah.
